Don Felipe Boutique Hotel

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Hotel Don Felipe. The property sits on the hillside overlooking the Gulf of Naples, Castello Aragonese, and Capri off in the distance. The views were amazing. It’s located in a very safe, quiet neighborhood. The hotel is easily accessible from Ischia Porto by bus or taxi and the hotel can quickly arrange a taxi for you at a moments notice. The shops and restaurants of Ischia Ponte, including the castle, are a quick 10-minute walk downhill. The room was comfortable, clean and charming. We stayed on the lowest level and had a nice terrace right above the pool. I don’t believe there is a “bad” room at the hotel. Service was exceptional - the staff were friendly and ready to help. We enjoyed drinks and snacks on from the hotel terrace bar and had a very nice, simple breakfast - with plenty of options, including every variety of Italian coffee you can think of - each morning in the breakfast room. This property is a terrific value! Unless you absolutely require 5-star amenities, you won’t be disappointed.

Not negative, just advice… anything thinking about getting the bus or walking don’t do it. The buses aren’t 100% reliable and the hills are very steep. Book the transfer offered, will save you a lot of stress and sweat

Przepięknie zlokalizowany hotel. Za widok z okna ( pokój z widokiem na morze ) ocena 20 na 10 :) Pokój prosto wyposażony a łazienka widać, że w trakcie wymiany - jeszcze trzeba wymienić prysznice - ale czysta i wszystko działa. Śniadania wspaniałe - wędlina ,sery, jajka, ciasta, jogurty, owoce i oczywiście pyszna kawa , herbata, soki. Personel bardzo pomocny i sympatyczny. Walizkę można zostawić przy furtce - nie trzeba wnosić po stromych schodach - zostanie dostarczona do pokoju. Dojazd do hotelu autobusem 182 z portu - przystanek naprzeciwko hotelu. Można dojechać też linią 183 ale dłużej. Plaża w Ischia Porto duża i piaszczysta, 2 leżaki z parasolem na cały dzień dla dwóch osób 15-20 euro - 15 minut spacerkiem lub parę przystanków autobusem ( do porty lepiej linią 183). O wiele lepsza niż pseudo betonowa plaża w hotelu naprzeciwko.

Location, location, location! The views from the pool and snack bar are incredible. You can go across the street and pay $500 for dinner or stay here and enjoy the same view for a fraction of that price.

beds aren't the most comfortable

Amazing views from everywhere, staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. Easy to catch bus to the port. Drinks we had from the bar were also really nice. Bed was also comfortable having experienced other Italian beds!

The aircon didn’t really make much difference to the room temp and although the cleanliness was mostly good, some deeper cleaning is required around bathroom taps and the shower head.

Il soggiorno presso questo Hotel e' stato piacevolissimo. Camera pulitissima, con sorpresa abbiamo trovato in bagno un corredo di detergenti di altissima qualità, e non nel formato mignon bensì in eleganti flaconi con dispenser. Il personale e' ineccepibile, sempre sorridenti e pronti ad accontentare le richieste del cliente con estrema velocità e cortesia. Grandissima professionalità di tutto lo staff, Feliciana, Pino, e di tutti i ragazzi e le signore di cui purtroppo non conosciamo il nome ma che si sono adoperati ognuno nel proprio settore per far in modo che la nostra vacanza fosse perfetta. Un pensiero particolare a Martina, giovane della quale abbiamo avuto modo di conoscere simpatia, estrema professionalità e cura del cliente. Consigliamo veramente a tutti di scegliere questo Hotel per un soggiorno durante il quale rigenerare lo spirito godendo di un panorama pazzesco, relax e tranquillità assicurati, ottima colazione per tutti i gusti ed impagabile la possibilità di sorseggiare aperitivi, pranzare o cenare sulla splendida terrazza panoramica con sottofondo di musica soft. Ottimi collegamenti con i mezzi pubblici per raggiungere qualsiasi luogo si desideri, con fermata antistante l'ingresso dell'Hotel, in alternativa possibilità di prenotare tramite la bravissima Feliciana transfer comodissimi. Noi per quanto ci riguarda abbiamo lasciato al Don Felipe un pezzetto di cuore e non vediamo già l'ora di tornarci Grazie ragazzi! Siete perfetti!

Lovely Terrace with fabulous view, where they serve limited menu all day. Good breakfast. Bus outside door into Ischia Port. 10 minutes. Beautiful, friendly resident Cat. Great, helpful staff.

There are a lot of steps! Be aware. I chose a single room, which unfortunately had, as the name suggests, a Single bed. Bit of a struggle! Also, the Pillows are appalling and need throwing away. I wasn't the only one to mention them. Was like sleeping on a bag of Concrete.....not, that I've ever had the misfortune to do that...but you get the drift!
