The property was clean and well cared for. My wife especially loved the fitted sheets in the bed and the 500 count Egyptian cotton sheets that felt very luxurious. We loved our room with views of the ocean on two sides. Lunch was one of the best meals we have had anywhere. We had high expectations, but the hotel surpassed them.

We loved everything about it.

I did not like that. They only had one server at the Patio bar. He was so busy. He was not able to assist or be cordial because he was so busy and there was nobody to help him. I did not like that. There was no Air Conditiin in the rooms were super hot, and I did not like the size of the room and the view of the window for the sunset.

Reception staff were rude, distracted and likely have never known good hospitality, is my guess. No smiles or welcoming attitude. Obese bellman never Moved to help unless asked and would prefer to sit and talk to other staff instead of proactively helping. Birds on the cafeteria patio made it impossible to sit and enjoy view. We had to go inside after pigeon flew on table and broke wine glass. William was horrible wait staff there and definitely overworked as he was sole waiter for 20 people. He was curt and unwelcoming. Tired old furniture in room 306 and regulated AC makes it obvious no investment in modernization.

We booked a couple paradors on our portugese Camino, as we had a lovely experience on a previous Camino. However the good days of the parador are no longer. It is totally lacking in every department. At checkin, they do not tell you one thing. The room is old and needs to be redone. We were bitten each night by mosquitos. The air con vent area is covered in dust. The bedside table and bed are chipped and disgusting. And it is the most u comfortable rock of a bed I have ever slept on. But the icing on the cake was the cafe experience the first day, after walking in the rain, on the Camino. So excited to finally be at a parador, and out incredibly rude waiter at the cafe brings me this vegetarian sandwich. You have got to be kidding me. Dry white wonder bread with beetroots, and the bottom piece so lathered in hommus and oily peppers you could not pick it up. The salad was old as were the chips. My husbands club sandwich was bacon and egg on white bread. Words can not describe. This is not worthy of a train station let alone a parador. I did not touch mine and refused to pay. This hotel is relying on a name.however word is getting out that you need to do more. Than rest on your laurels. I will not be returning. Over $550 per night for a 3 star room, and food you would not feed your dog.
