Parador de Ribadeo

We have stayed in several Paradores in Spain, love how the hotel group uses historical buildings, we appreciate the Parador model. This hotel has an excellent location, overlooking the harbour towards Asturias, the room was delightfully large, with a sofa and large table, a huge comfortable bed, an enormous bathroom, and a very large balcony where we relaxed at the end of the day drinking our cocktails. We thought we were in heaven. The evening dinner, and menu, was excellent. Probably the best restaurant in Ribadeo. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

We were slightly disappointed by the breakfast, admittedly we arrived shortly before 10:00, but the buffet selection was over- heated, felt like eating leftovers. We know in other Paradores that those arriving towards the end of the breakfast period are offered fresh food. And perhaps the dinner had been so good, we were surprised by the breakfast.

Todo el personal es muy atento, la vista a la ría y el mirador de la habitación muy agradables. tiene playas muy bonitas que están muy cerca

Wir wurden nett empfangen und es wurde von der Reception alles gut erklärt. Das Frühstück ist reichlich und sehr gut. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht und das Essen war sehr fein. Wir konnten von der Karte die Vor- und Hauptspeise sowie den Dessert aussuchen. Der Parkplatz ist kostenlos.

Leider ist das Personal beim auftischen und Tisch abräumen sehr hektisch und das Geschirr kleppert nur so, was an so einem Ort nicht sein sollte. Schade, denn es geht auch anders. Wir hatten ein Standard Doppelzimmer gebucht, was im 2. Untergeschoss war. Unser Blick war jedoch nicht in den Garten sondern auf die Mauer gegenüber, für 1 Nacht okay, aber sicher nicht für länger.
