Parador de Villafranca del Bierzo

Always enjoy the elevated hospitality at Parador. Bathrooms clean and big tub.

Paradors are often located in beautiful historical buildings. This location is fairly simple as it’s a converted factory and no elegance of a castle or anything!

Conveniently located on edge of town. Ample on site parking. Clean, comfortable, well equipped. Even had a pool! Staff helpful and friendly. Good restaurant on site

It was in a good location for a short,luxury break in our camping trip. The hotel was very clean and well presented. The food was good, without being exceptional. In fact we had a very late lunch one day, which we made our only meal and it was fine. Breakfast choice was good too. We used the indoor swimming pool, which is small but served a purpose. The outdoor pool was closed. The staff were helpful and friendly. The small town has lots to see and is worth a stop.

We were somewhat disappointed in the ambience. Paradors are typically in old converted properties but this is just a purpose built hotel and had none of the atmosphere you expect. It was overpriced I thought.

Llevábamos media pensión. Si volviera y se pudiera, cambiaría la cena por el almuerzo o solo contrataría desayuno. La comida es buena y dan ganas de probarlo todo. Demasiado abundante y tentador. Nuestro estómago se resintió un poco pero evidentemente tiene más que ver con nuestras opciones y decisiones que con el propio Parador.

Breakfast too expensive staff not particularly pleasant the occasional smile would help!

Beds a little too hard. Outside pool like ice!

Restaurante manifiestamente mejorable, y he estado dos veces en el hotel. No cumple con los estándares de Paradores.

Air conditioning needs to work.
