The last word in luxury. Beautifully decorated in a beautiful location. Special thanks to the gentleman who met us in the pouring rain with a large umbrella and helped us inside. Superb wine list, as always, in a very beautiful dining room. Limited menu, but superbly executed.

Comfortable well appointed room and fabulous location

The restaurant staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. The Hotel is a "dog-friendly" hotel, which is why we chose it, though it has a "dog unfriendly" attitude. The restaurant staff were reluctant to serve us breakfast or dinner in the dog-friendly bar area or terrace, and treated us (and the other 2, unrelated to us, guests with dogs who were staying at the same time) with disdain and arrogance. Their service was extremely slow and their attitude one of "doing us a favour" by serve us at all. There appeared to be no-one in charge overall, overseeing the well-being of the hotel guests. This is not what you expect from a five-star hotel where you are paying for your dog's stay. We have stayed in a number of other Como hotels which have been excellent so was dissappointed with this experience.
