Hôtel Le Provençal

The hotel is in a great location between Eze and downtown Nice. Walking distance to many shops and the beach. Located in a quiet street with beautiful views. The room was cozy and impeccable. We enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden and listening to a fantastic guitar player. The bartender and the front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Will book it again.

This is a lovely old hotel perched on the hill above the water. It has a relaxed and gracious ambience, with attractive indoor and outdoor common spaces, a friendly and helpful reception staff, and a lovely breakfast room with seating in a shaded garden. The breakfast is very good, and well staffed to maintain the broad selection and help with the beverage machines. Upstairs, there is a small bar between the lounge and the terrace, and someone is always available to serve drinks and snacks/light meals from a limited but adequate menu. The rooms are pleasant and comfortable. We especially enjoyed talking with Mattias, who was on bar duty most afternoons. We are indebted to Lisa on the reception desk, who helped us find our way to an urgent care clinic in Nice that was open on Sunday, as well as ordering a car to the Nice train station when we decided not to brave the odd little Ville-Franche station again. They were both so helpful and enjoyable, it felt like ending a visit with friends.

Staff absolutely FANTASTIC! So very very helpful and courteous.

Clean property, friendly staff, great location. Only downside is bed mattresses are very hard, not comfortable unless you prefer your mattress very firm and also no in room safe.

Nice family owned hotel in VIllefranche Sur Mer. Close to old city, beaches and restaurants can only recommend to stay at Provencal.

We loved our stay at this hotel Loved that they reward eco friendliness with a small gift at check out Loved that they happily accommodated my request for a softer pillow Loved the little courtyard to eat breakfast, lounge in the sun etc Great location but be you need to be quite fit to tackle the steep hill to the town,station etc
