We have stayed here several times before and would have expected some friendly welcome from the owners-but they were cold and aloof - although the staff were friendly.Some water on arrival after a long trip would have been nice The rooms which were quite basic have been updated but it seems in a cheap and ad-hoc way. For instance the bathroom suite was beigy-green but the toilet was white.We had a double bed but two single overlapping duvets There were bath robes which was a plus. The evening meal was good but like the hotel was overpriced
