La Belle Aurore

The location of the hotel is perfect - on the beach in Sainte Maxime. There's a beautiful small infinity pool and 2 small strips of private beach, looking over to St Tropez. The service was great. Lovely members of staff. We didn't book into the extremely expensive restaurant but the breakfast was nice, especially as the restaurant/breakfast area overlooks the bay. Very pretty.

The hotel is listed as 4* but I cannot see how that can be. Our room looked like it had been tacked on to the main building and was an odd mix of bedroom with "sitting" area. The decor was tired, the furniture a mish-mash of plastic chairs and what looked like a cheap sofa bed along from our bed. The bathroom was one of the worst I've ever seen - no shower, just an old-fashioned shower head placed on the taps of the bath. Ancient white tiles. Maybe this room has been used to house staff - there is no way the hotel is 4* with a bathroom like that - I've seen better bathrooms in 2* hotels. I'm afraid although the hotel has much that's lovely, the bedroom and bathroom we had rendered it over-priced.

Amazing hotel and amazing experience! We were staying in the family suite with its own terrace where you can have breakfast with the views of the sea and St. Tropez. Very friendly staff and beautiful pool

- if you are tall, going to the bathroom at night can be a problem :) we were regularly hitting our heads against the beams of the sloping ceiling - the smaller room of the suite didn't have an AC conditioner so it was getting a bit hot at night - this one is definitely not the hotels fault but I would love to know that sooner: when you look at the map you think that it is around 15 mins drive to the central part of St. Tropez but because of constant traffic jams pls plan around 1-1.5hours each way (I am not kidding). They have a wonderful beach nearby though so I would plan to stay mostly there.

The view from the room was amazing, walking distance from the tiwn fir me maybe not quite the same for my partner who has recently had hip surgery

The size of the room, it was very small. The bed was very small. The bathroom open other than a curtain fir privacy. We thought the hotel lacked atmosphere, despite the friendliness of the staff

Beautiful location . Easy walk to st maxime . Infinity pool is lovely . Very friendly staff . Restaurant menu looked amazing although we didn’t eat there . Restaurant itself is stunning overlooking water . We had a fine big spacious room ( family room ) . I think I’ll book a room overlooking water next time . No problem parking

Shame there was no bar

Location. Waterfront, out of town but with only a few minutes walk to the St Tropez ferry and St Maxine town centre. The staff could not have been more helpful.
