This was our favorite hotel experience during our two weeks in Portugal. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable about Evora restaurants and sights. The hotel is beautiful, well located and the room was large and the bed super comfortable. Would stay here again. Highly recommend.

Ideally situated just inside the walled city of Evora in eastern Portugal. Access to the centre is an easy 10 minute walk passing local shops and cafe's along the way. This small boutique hotel is full of atmosphere. It is quiet and Hugo (the Manager) and his team go out of their way to ensure that each guest has an experience to remember. The buffet breakfast is excellent with fresh fruits pastries etc and you can also order poached eggs, scrambled eggs and bacon from the kitchen. We stayed for five nights and found Evora to be a great base for exploring the area. This is an underrated part of Portugal so if you decide to visit, you won't go wrong by staying in Albergaria Do Calvario.

We were 2 couples, with 2 rooms in the hotel. It is beautiful with lovely rooms and all the modern conveniences. The host was so helpful with things to see and places to eat. You can also enjoy snacks and drinks from the bar. The breakfast was excellent, with many choices, including a choice of eggs or pancakes made to your order.

Great location and relaxed but attentive service with beautiful patio and super convenient underground parking. Comfortable and quiet rooms.

Beautiful, relaxing property located very conveniently just inside the wall. Staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. We would highly recommend staying at this classic hotel.
