Warning! Bedbugs! We booked the stay for the last two days of our honeymoon trip to Sicilly. When we arrived, we saw that the room was not as good as in the pictures. Everything seemed kind of old and used. After talkwith the host it turned out that there were three apartments of this type. Two of them were renovated and ours was not. We expressed our dissatisfaction that the pictures shown something different, the host offered us a discount, under the condition that we cancel the reservation on Booking.com so he doesn't have to pay the fee. We already decided to move somewhere else on the next day and at the moment it seemed like a good temporary solution, so we accepted. We left our bags at the apartment and went out to catch the activities we had planned. When we returned in the evening, we took another look at the state of the apartment and we decided to check the beds if they were clean, because they looked worn. At first we found out that the sheets were not clean (photo attached). This alerted us and, to our disgust, after a closer look we also discovered some bugs on the bed frame (second photo attached). After a quick google research it turned out to be bedbugs, which are very easy to catch and very hard to get rid of later. We haven't used the bed yet, so we washed our hands, grabbed our bags and left asap. We contacted the host about the situation. In reply, he sent us a voice message where he tried to blame us, that we left the windows open and that wind brought bugs inside. When we still weren't convinced about the bug-blowing wind, he offered us to refund the cost of our stay.

Perfect place in Cefalù, marvelous view of the sea. Only to be aware of the apartments are on the second floor and has no elevator, suitable for small luggage.

Perfect location in Cefalu, close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Room was clean and cozy and overlooked the streets. Antonio was a great host and helped with our luggage down the stairs. Rooftop patio overlooking the water.
