Hotel Minerva

Okna některých pokojích zasroubovana - nelze vetrat. Snídaně není bohatá ale celkově ok. Sauna nizka teplota asi fungue jen jedna spirala. Vířivka byla mimo provoz

I was greeted by the recepcionist saying he could not find my reservation...I had reserved 3 nights before with the same company that sold me the flight tickets....Cheaptickets...and Expedia...he could not check his computer for reservations?...after. calling his manager ...he said he found the reservation...I had reserved a superior room with king size bed...with. breakfast.. He gave me keys to a low floor small standard room...I complained and after some arguing assigned me another better larger room...but the promised superior room with king size bed did not come through. The next day they refused to give me breakfast as was my reservation promised through the Expedia link...

The front desk was very helpful getting us a needed extension cord for a medical device, getting taxis, making recommendations on where to go & how to get there. The location is walkable to The Old City, museums & the People's Palace. The breakfast buffet was good- although the earlier you got there the better the choices. Our room was good sized & the bed was comfortable. The downside was the half glassed in tub with shower that flooded the bathroom when taking a shower & that there was only 1 bath towel & no soap.

When we arrived at reception, the clerk said that they did not have our reservation on file. They still gave us a room for the night, and I'm not sure if that room is representative of all the rooms in the hotel, but it was strange. It was a suite with one water closet and one bathroom. The bathroom was odd -- a bathtub with a shower hose, but without a proper curtain. The bed was somewhat comfortable, but the comforter was no thicker than a sheet. There was a really old television set in the room that we didn't even use since we were exhausted. When we went to check out, the clerk was really helpful and returned our deposit. Apparently expedia has a communication problem with this hotel (or vice versa). I would recommend calling the hotel after booking if you're planning to stay here.

Good clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Good location for walking to Historic Areas & Museums. Would use again.

Arrived and they had never received my Expedia booking. They were kind enough to give me a room at the booked rate and even upgrade me. Well done Minerva, bad job Expedia.

excellent hotel and best location

This is my second stay within 2 years at this hotel and the experience is fully to my expectations. I prefer this hotel due to its location, the staff is always friendly, the restaurant is convenient and offers food to my satisfaction. All in all a good choice for me.
