Hotel Bellavista

I've stayed in hotels all over Europe, and this hotel was a really great value. The rooms with the Rhine view are very nice for the cost. We only stayed for one night, as we were passing through the area, but I would like to come back to this hotel and area to spend more time. You can hear barges and trains, but that's part of being on the river, and the noise is not enough to disrupt your stay. On a Saturday night there were people partying across the river, but again, that comes with the territory. I highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I only got to stay at this hotel for one night which was unfortunate because we loved it so much. Our room had a view of the Rhine and the couple that owns the hotel were incredibly gracious hosts.

This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but with its Baconies with views of the Rhine and its charming dining area, its a definite hit (at least at the very resonable rate I paid). The sign outside says "A little Piece of Italy on the Rhine, or something like that) We were budget travelers using Hotels.com to get the best rates in Europ. This is a small hotel with a family like staff which were very helpful. When i told the Italian female (co-owner?) that I studied German in high school, she always spoke german to me and wanted me to reply in german, a nice touch! The nearby castle of Marksburg has a great tour. Google it. If you arrive at 12:00 noon the tour is in English. Bottom line: If you can get a room on the river with a balcony, don't miss this place. Definitely not a 5 star hotel however, if you are looking for that type of hotel.

Lovely small italian themed hotel right next to the Rhein. Very friendly staff and helpful staff. Hotel looks a little dated but was clean and our room had a huge balcony overlooking the river. Food was really nice too although breakfast was a bit pricy for what was on offer.

The room was excellent, very clean. It was very cold the night we were there and the room was very chilly. Beds were comfortable - enjoyable stay. Restaurant was right in the hotel for all meals. Breakfast was good.

Beautiful location, clean rooms, friendly staff. Ideel for a nice vacation. Koblenz close, lots of attractions.

The location of the hotel was perfect for boat trips on the Rhine. Definitely get a superior room with balcony and river view. Breakfast good, but service at dinner very slow. Lovely hidden market square in the town with lively, well priced food. Very close to best preserved castle on the Rhine.

Overlooking Rhine, just a 30 second walk to jetty for Rhine cruises, quiet aspect, next to park and promenade. Expect train and barge noise as you are right on the Rhine.
