We loved everything about the property! The hosts were so kind, while the location is really off grid I think that’s what makes it so serene and beautiful! Marc really helped us out with answering all our questions and making us feel calm! He even helped setting up the wine tour for us in the area with Davide! 10/10 recommend! The breakfast was so flavorful and fresh and the pool was such a great touch! If you are looking for a quite and unique stay in Tuscany and not planning to drive to other cities that are more than 3 hours out - this is the place for you!

2 things I would love to see for a future stay at this property is air conditioning in the rooms, August in Italy with no AC is not for the weak! And a softer mattress- the mattress was a little hard for my husband and I. Overall phenomenal property and hosts!

Alles aan ons verblijf in Bio Agriturismo Il Vigno was perfect. Een prachtig agriturismo, met zorg en stijl gerestaureerd en ingericht. De achtergrond van eigenaar Marc en eigenaresse Adria komt op een mooie manier terug in het interieur, met bijvoorbeeld prenten van Den Haag en prachtige architectuur- en designboeken. Dit geeft de accommodatie een warme en persoonlijke sfeer. De ligging is fantastisch: midden in een mooi en ongerept stukje natuur en cultuur in Toscane. Het uitzicht vanaf het zwembad is werkelijk adembenemend. De zelf aangelegde groente- en kruidentuin levert elke dag verse ingrediënten voor het verrukkelijke ontbijt, en een paar keer per week ook voor een uitgebreid diner, bereid door de eigenaresse. Dat zorgt voor onvergetelijke avonden, samen met gasten van het agriturismo en vrienden uit de omgeving. Heerlijke gerechten, goede gesprekken, en dat alles op een schitterende plek. In de omgeving zijn veel activiteiten mogelijk. Een aanrader is het mooie, nog relatief onbekende Anghiari – een tip van de eigenaar, die ook graag nog andere suggesties deelt. Kortom: Bio Agriturismo Il Vigno is een absolute aanrader. Een plek waar ik zeker hoop nog eens terug te keren.

Il Vigno is one of those rare places that welcomes you with open arms and quietly changes you. Marc & Adria have created more than just a beautiful retreat; it’s a place where you slow down, breathe deeper, and somehow feel more like yourself. The warmth from you, your volunteers, and the land itself is something we’ll carry with us. We’re going home not just rested, but with new stories shared over long tables, glasses of wine and limoncello, and laughter with people we hadn’t met before. That’s what makes this place truly special. The rooms are spacious, the beds dangerously comfortable (we almost missed breakfast), and the attention to detail shows a deep love for design without ever feeling forced. If we really had to mention one downside… it’s that leaving was the hardest part.

it was a great escape from the hustle and bustle of city life! The food was fantastic - compliments to the chefs! we can definitely recommend the family dinner. The whole team were very friendly and made us feel very welcome - especially Jade and Basti :)

The complete absence of civilisational noises paired with the small luxury of an pool and a nice terrace with great views over the mountainside and the forest arround. We loved the atmosphere and the wonderful taste of the dinner. But the absolute Highlight: Adria and Marc as great hosts and also a great hug an thanks to Jade, Basti, Arielle and all the other volunteers - best team ever! Recommendation: don‘t miss this unique and outstanding place.

The initial room we booked was a little small so we upgraded and the next room was great. Can get a bit warm on hot days. We loved relaxing at the pool and around the patio tables in the evenings.

Location is peaceful and worth a few days to get away from hustle and bustle. It’s a bit far if you want to use the property as a base for Tuscany day trips, definetly more of a retreat destination.

Waking up to the Tuscan hills in Il Vigno felt like being in a damn painting. Peaceful, raw, and honest. The hosts: Super friendly and care taking.

Nothing. I just enjoyed myself there and smiled the whole time.

Enchanting remote location perfect to unwind and relax! Adria and Marc along with their staff (we interacted with Maria, Vanessa, and Anna - all equally helpful and friendly) were so warm and welcoming. It is clear they have a genuine drive for hospitality and are passionate about making Il Vigno a success. The location is near to Arezzo (15mins) and Anghiari (30mins) which are lovely medieval towns to visit, but you can also drive further to San Marino (2 hrs), Montepulciano (2 hrs) and others (Sienna and Volterra would have been 2-3 hrs). Instructions on how to get to Il Vigno were very clear and repeated a few times over email and booking.com to ensure we would not get lost. When we had not arrived yet by evening (there were delays in our connections), Marc personally messaged to ask where we were and them gave clear instructions on where to park and check in for the night. The next day, we realised that the room I had booked was not as suitable for our husband (he's on the taller side and the room had a sloping ceiling which was too low for him) and when Adria asked if there was anything that could make our stay more comfortable and I mentioned I didn't realise the room had a low ceiling, she immediately offered for us to view other available rooms and choose a new room if we preferred, for a nominal fee. We're so grateful for this as we ended up with a one bedroom apt that was more spacious and gave us enough space for our one week stay. That first night in the new unit, we could not get hot water in the bathroom and though it was quite late at night, when I messaged and called Vanessa, she assisted promptly and got Marc to come and help. Marc toggled something on the water heater and made sure we had hot water before he left. We really appreciate him waking up to help us! We also asked for a drying rack and an extra bin, which Vanessa quickly provided upon request.

We were hoping to have more dinners during our stay and we were actually encouraged to book in advance to also secure a discounted rate. However of the 3 dinners we booked, 2 were cancelled. Adria explained the minimum number of guests to open the commercial kitchen could not be met for other days, so in the end we drove out for dinner elsewhere. We gave this feedback to Adria to communicate there is a possibility dinner may be cancelled if not enough guests, as we originally planned to have 3-4 dinners at Il Vigno and only drive out for dinner on days dinner was not served. Adria was very responsive to this feedback and seemed keen to take it on.

The views are stunning! The accommodation is spotlessly clean, large room, comfortable beds. The food is home grown, home cooked and absolutely superb! We were away for a “workation” so needed wifi to be excellent and it was! There is an office and a library to work in if you need to take private calls etc and the wifi was excellent all over the property whether in your room, in the office or sitting on a sun lounger admiring the view. Our hosts, Adria and Marc were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. They understood why we were there and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The family style dinners gave us a welcome break from working and an opportunity to meet some wonderful people and have some wholesome and interesting conversations! Perfect place to unwind, find peace or be very productive! We will be back!
