Parador de Limpias

No tomamos desayuno. La cena en la cafeteria fue muy buena y el servicio muy amable.

An excellent Parador in a quiet location on a hill above a small town in pleasant countryside. The Paradors see to have really got their act together when it comes to dining. We make annual trips to Spain, touring the Paradors and this year the average standard was noticeably higher than previously. Out of 14 samples, all but one were excellent to outstanding.

Food exceptional

This is a beautiful spot and the hotel was of a very high standard with excellent rooms and atmosphere. We also ate here and the food was of a very high quality and the staff very friendly and very helpful. Although it is a little out of the way it is worth the effort.

La bâtisse historique dans un cadre idyllique. Le magnifique jardin/parque avec des arbres majestueux. Le petit déjeuner très complet. La pause sur la terrasse et les bons desserts. La nourriture du diner.

Pas assez de personnel!! Pour l'après-midi: Une seule personne (la pauvre!) à servir sur la terrasse/jardin et l'interieur! Et la même personne devait encore préparer les cafés/boissons et desserts. Nous avons attendu presque une heure pour être servis. Le soir: nous avons réservé une table pour 21:00 (la seule option qui restait) et avons reçu le premier plat à 21:50! La serveuse était complètement inefficace. Par contre, le repas était très bon. Conseil: Si vous reservez une chambre avec demi pension (ce qui est conseillé car il n'y a pas tellement d'autres options dans le village), reservez TOUT DE SUITE une table pour 20:00 directement au restaurant. Car cela ne se fait pas automatiquement! Le service sera plus rapide à 20:00, ce que nous avons constaté le deuxième soir. Le village de Limpias et les promenades dans ce village étaient decevants. Il n'y a que des routes.

Had a nice two night stay, everything went well, staff good, especially the very helpful lady on reception. The area is a bit of a quiet gem, with loads of quiet roads to explore and a quaint village in walking distance. The nearby Laredo was good too, and just a short drive. Highly recommended.
