Sehr gute Lage. Gute Zimmergröße mit guter Ausstattung. Nettes Personal.

Knüppelharte Matratze. Als Seitenschläfer mit etwas breiterem Kreuz bin ich jeden Tag mit Schmerzen aufgewacht. Fliegenplage, leider ein generelles Problem in Kandersteg. Das Frühstück für 19 Franken p.P. bietet sehr wenig Auswahl. Das Rührei ist aus dem TetraPak. Das ist viel zu wenig für den Preis.

The views from the balcony and surrounding the hotel were exquisite. Very nice bar area & terrace, rooms were comfortable, and the whirlpool baths are a fantastic feature after a long day of walking.

I didn’t think the breakfast was good value at 19 CHF per person, per day. I didn’t fancy much on offer at the buffet, but got myself a coffee, a croissant, and a bowl of corn flakes on two mornings. I should have checked prices beforehand, but the 38 franc charge at checkout was a bit of a shock. We checked out at 11am on Monday and returned to the hotel in the early afternoon. Trying to kill some time before our 10pm flight, we decided to go for a swim in the hotel pool, but were denied access as we had already checked out. This left a sour taste to an otherwise delightful stay.
