Hotel am Friedrichsbad

The location is brilliant. Right near the thermal waters, beautiful buildings, stunning walk for the dog, excellent bars and restaurants near by.

It was VERY hot (June) and the fan provided did little to stifle the temperature in the room. But it’s a nice old place and I imagine in the cooler months it’s very lovely. Also the guy at the front desk is hilarious. Basically the German version of Basil Faulty. We had a large travel fridge (for our dogs food) and I asked him if he had a trolley or something we could borrow to take it to the room and he shrugged and gestured me and my son were strong.

We kregen geen aanwijzingen waar we in de buurt konden dineren.

Nur die Lage, das Haus ist ungepflegt und es scheint kein Interesse der Besitzer zu bestehen etwas in Ordnung zu bringen. Das Haus ist aus meiner Sicht nicht empfehlenswert.

Das Zimmer war in der 3.Etage und jeden Abend war der Aufzug mit dem Schild "defekt" außer Betrieb und ich musste mit sparsamer Beleuchtung die vielen Treppen hochgehen, das ist für eine alte Person unzumutbar!!

Great location, management were friendly and helped with the bed arrangements and motorcycle parking. Thank you

All good, we aren’t fussy people, just grateful for a good night sleep and a warm shower. Thank you will stay again..

The location

The owner . We had originally booked to stay here for 1 night and then decided to change it too 2 nights after multiple emails with the hotel this was confirmed and our booking was changed to 2 nights (I had all the emails to prove it) when we arrived 2 of us travelling Europe on our motorbikes we were told that only 1 night was booked and this could be not be changed the owner only spoke German and we didn't speak German so we were showing him the email chain via Google translate, one thing i will say is he was the most obnoxious unhelpful person we have ever met he didn't try to help us find alternative accommodation he just kept humming and shrugging his shoulders as if it were a joke to cut a long story short we stayed the night and ee didn't even stay to eat the breakfasts we had paid for as we were leaving I went to hand him our room key and he slapped his hand on his desk as to say put it there and didn't even acknowledge us leaving . Baden Baden is a great base if your travelling by motorbike but I would 200% give this place a miss.

Das Frühstück war dem Preis entsprechend. Es gab Eier jeder Art frisch zubereitet von frischen Eiern!! Als Kritik könnte ich nur anmerken, dass die Auswahl an Schinken und Käse nicht Bio war und es keinen frischen Obstsalat gab. Das Personal war sehr liebenswürdig und zuvorkommend. Die Lage war optimal.

Staff very nice, really great breakfast and great position for the downtown and the SPA.
