Hotel Luna

It is in the old town, very good location. Room is good size and lovely baloney with lake view, we spent the night in baloney to enjoy the quietness and the breeze. The breakfast is good, fresh orange juice

This was the "we liked it so much we came back the next day" story... what a find to affordably stay on the island! We looked to stay on Sirmione because we were traveling by car and didn't want to drag luggage over the bridge or leave it out in the car park. After seeing some very spendy rates, we saw Hotel Luna and took a chance that it would be nice for the price. What a super pleasant surprise when there was a quiet enclave with beautiful lobby, monitored parking, a beautiful and spacious room (20) with gorgeous bath, gracious service, awesome air conditioning (the island is hot and humd) and the best breakfast of our three-week trip, served on a balcony overlooking the lake! We had enjoyed our stay on Sirmione, and walking around the village in the quiet of the next morning, we decided we had to come back. With plans for that evening, we checked out and returned the following day. This time we had room 26 which overlooks the lake. It wasn't as fancy as 20 but the lake view, large balcony and sunset were so nice. Again, breakfast is a treat and the staff is fun to work with and very accommodating. They truly make an impression that Sirmione loves its visitors. Without question, we will book Hotel Luna when we return and have dinner again at Osteria Del Vecchio Fossato!

There was a lovely lake view from our room balcony (which was as big as our room - but most rooms have regular sized balconies), staff friendly and attentive. But note that the drive into medieval Sirmione is not for the faint hearted - the hotel is at the top end of town; when you get to the police control point you present your booking docs and they check your name is on the list before letting you drive on. You then drive through Sirmione's narrow streets teeming with tourists to the hotel (very slowly!), I am very grateful to some lovely German tourists who gave us a map when I got out of the car (the expedia map doesn't clearly show the one way route). At least that's what it was like at 3 p.m. in August, other times should be less fraught. But it's in a great location to wander around, especially in the evening after the tourists have largely gone and we wish we'd booked more than one night.

Very nice little hotel.... great price and great location

The hotel was nothing short of excllent both in terms of service and value for money. I'd recommend it to all my friends. The place was spotlesly clean, amenities superb, attention of staff could not be bettered, and in general I'd say it was by far the best for money of all the 7 hotels we stayed in recently.

This small family run hotel offered comfortable beds and every comfort in the room. We had Sky television. I had contacted the hotel prior to travelling to ask if it was posisble to have a lake view and balcony and we were delighted that this request was made. The hotel is in a quite area, immediately opposite the Spa. Nothing was too much bother for the owners of the hotel, they organised taxis and suggested things to do when we requested. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a family run good value hotel in an excellent location.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel is extremely clean & well maintained. The owners were friendly & check-in was quick. The room was a good size, very light & airy and was very clean and comfortable and had a balcony with a lovely view with a table and chairs. The bathroom was fairly small & the shower was tiny but there was good water pressure. The bath towels were unusual in that they were made of cotton material (so were like a towel-sized tea towel). Free internet & parking were included – (it is a novel experience driving inside the city walls). Breakfast was good. Would recommend staying at this hotel.

The receptionist was a bit odd, and what i believe to be his father, was even stranger. But appart from that, I have no complaints about the hotel. Nice and clean rooms, with air-condition and a balcony. The hotel is situated in the old town of Sirmione, and has free parking(as long as you ask the receptionist). Lovely little town.

Everything in this hotel was great: fantastic location, wonderful services, very clean and big room (especially for Europe). Staff were very friendly Great breakfast.
