Nice hotel situated slightly out of the village centre but perfect for unwinding after 30 km walk

The grounds are amazing and we had a wonderful 30 minute walk on a marked path around the property. The owner and his father shuttled us to and from a nearby restaurant and the airport but would NOT accept a gratuity. The breakfast area overlooks a beautiful garden and I was so disappointed that we didn't have to eat because the food looked great. We had a great stay at a very reasonable price.

After going from St Jean Pied de Port to Finisterra I spend the night in this lovely hotel. It was the perfect finish of the Camino for me! They even have their own chapel! Could not have been more enjoyable!! It was close to the airport, the staff was pleasant and helpful. Would recommend without hesitation!

Great hotel. It was like being in the 17th century, but with nice amenities, not with the touristic stuff. The owner was friendly and helpful. The place was quite and had a nice yard great for walking. The neighborhood was nice and quite. You had a sense of a small town. The restaurant 1 mile or so away was great. The airport was very close too. The hotel was about 4 miles from Santiago. Since I had a car it was not a problem at all. I highly recommend this place.

We needed a hotel close to the Airport as we had an early morning flight home. The situation is brilliant for that - 8 or 9 minutes from door to door and yet it's in a very tranquil setting with no constant buzz of aircraft overhead. This is a beautiful building, an old manor house set in its own garden with surrounding fields and a stream running through them and an old disused mill building too. We enjoyed a very pleasant walk around in the afternoon and then had a drink in the nearby village. Our host at the Paxo was friendly and welcoming and the price for B & B is pretty reasonable. I have to say that, for my personal taste, the decor is rather cluttered - just too many ornaments, pictures and nic nacs for me but others may disagree. The bedroom and ensuite bathroom were fine, again a tad old fashioned but perfectly agreeable. Our host knew we had an early departure and was in the breakfasting area ahead of us and he made sure we had everything we needed before we dashed off. I think it's probable that the honey was home produced or, certainly, very local and likewise with some of the other offerings. All in all, this is a charming place to spend a day or two and, if we were in the neighbourhood again, we would definitely return.

The Pazo is in the countryside a short drive from Santiago. The hotel is quiet, the rooms are large, spotless and comfortable. The grounds are fun to explore. There is a working mill run by a small stream. The breakfasts are great. We were driving, so this was a perfect place to stay as there are several parking garages available in Santiago. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend this to my friends.

..........as I walked in I would like to stay longer (than merely overnight) as the house, grounds and situation looked lovely. The welcome and assistance was courteous and efficient.
