Parador de Santillana Gil Blas

Beautiful parador. Our second visit. Great location for catching the ferry to uk. Safe underground parking garage across the way. Excellent breakfast and very good proper coffee and hot milk brought to the table. Wonderful staff. Great service in the restaurant, particularly Fatima and Cova who looked after us and gave service with a smile at breakfast and dinner. Esther on the bar was very attentive also and gave great service. The service we received at this Paradore was exemplary. Very comfortable room with supremely comfy bed and a lovely view of the garden.

The Parador has a beautiful secluded garden and needed more attention. The tables outside were not cleared down promptly. Our friends had gone to rest and when they came back out to their favourite spot their glasses and plates were still there over 2hrs later. Perhaps more staff are needed to cope with the outside service. The patio was not swept the whole time we were there until the last day when a photographer arrived to take pictures of the garden. Dirty napkins had been on the floor for days. This area of the Paradore is a wonderful asset to the property and should be shown a little more care and attention.

Excellent central location, good parking and bike storage. Very clean and comfortable room with fabulous bathroom Lovely courtyard for drinks

Staff in the restaurant were stretched. Seems more staff were required to provide the service akin to the beauty and quality of the hotel.

Onze kamer was boven keuken met als resultaat harde bonken van de klapdeuren. Vermeld bij reception want dit kan denk ik wel opgelost worden.

Todo en general pero me llamó muchísimo la atención el suelo de madera de 300 años mínimo..y está muy bien conservado

La habitación de las fotos de Booking ponía 38 metros y era bastante más pequeña

Sehr freundliches Personal, große schön eingerichtete Zimmer mit viel Ambiente und Palacio- Atmosphäre. Extra- Punkte für Kühlschrank/Minibar. Sehr schönes Bad. Hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Garten . Insgesamt ein wirklich gutes Haus. Abendessen im Hotelrestaurant sehr gut. Hoteleigener Parkplatz für 12 Euro die Nacht.

Liegt an der Plaza Major, also dem Hauptplatz von Santillana und ist damit sehr laut. Alle Touristen- Gruppen, alle Jugend- und Schülergruppen laufen laut über den Platz/ auch gerne bis spät abends. Lärmempfindliche haben es schwer

Muy ruidosa la habitación. Para mí es un pequeño problema.

Great old building with massive rooms. All day dining which is great if you’re not on Spanish time.
