Beautiful hotel and the staff are lovely people. We ate at the restaurant which was excellent, lovely food and great breakfast. Very comfortable room, well appointed. I recommend that people stay in a Parador the expensive and service are second to none

In our room there was a smoke alarm unfortunately it had a light on it facing the bed which blinked continually including throughout the night which was fairly annoying. The hotel car park provided an issue. Getting to it through pedestrianised medieval streets with little or no directions provided is a nightmare. This can be easily solved by directing motorists to go to the tourist information office on arrival in Santillana del Mar. They give a map and simple directions which once you know, you know. Park outside the Parador, once at reception and having been given further instructions and a fob to enter the hotels car park it’s pretty easy. I’m not sure why this information isn’t clearly given form the outset of booking. It would save a lot of stress.

Great property right in the center of old town. Everything is in walking distance. While the outside looks old (historic), inside has been very tastefully renovated to make it up to current standards. AC, nice tub and shower…
