"Fantastic property, disappointing customer service"

The location of the monastery is stunning. The impact on arrival was one of the highlights. Inside there’s a maze of corridors and lounges, and so much space to relax. The spa was also fantastic and the young lady on the desk was very accommodating in helping us change our reservation, and really helped us to enjoy our time there.

The customer service was disappointing. The check-in process was rushed, and when we inquired if we could book for dinner, the woman at reception shrugged and said ‘maybe. It’s busy today’. It was not communicated previously that we needed a reservation in advance. Thankfully we were accommodated, given that it’s a winding 30-minute drive to the nearest town. Likewise for breakfast the only available times were 8:30 or 10:30 with zero flexibility. The woman at reception did not explain where we had to go for either of these meals, or anything at all regarding our stay. The waiting staff were also rushed and inattentive. No doubt they were understaffed and stressed but given that this is a Parador which markets itself as a luxury experience, one would hope it would offer a better experience for its staff and guests.

Établissement magnifique dans une région superbe. Belles randonnées à faire dans les environs. La chambre était spacieuse et propre.

Le spa n’est pas du tout inclus dans l'hébergement et prendre un soins ne donne pas accès au spa ce qui rend la prestation assez chère. Petit déjeuner cher.
