Mendolia Beach Hotel

The hotel was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable enough for a short stay. The highlight was definitely the balcony with the beautiful view of Isola Bella – absolutely stunning and worth it.

The parking situation was quite difficult. There is only a public parking area nearby, which has to be paid and does not feel very secure. It was also disappointing that the hotel was more expensive on Booking compared to their own website, and breakfast had to be paid extra, while it is included when booking directly. Additionally, the hotel advertises a private beach, but during our stay it was not set up.

A view to die for!

The breakfast was very ordinary and served with paper plates and plastic cutlery. Served on a tray in the room, so no opportunity for a coffee top up.

Nothing

The rooms are in a terrible state and don’t qualify as a 3 star hotel. When we got to our room - we could not believe the condition - chipped and old furniture and bed/bedding was terrible as well the condition of the bathroom - more like a 2star or less in my view. Also the view was not as per the pictures. We called the 24 hour line and indicated we would like to leave even though it was 10pm and whether they would give us a refund. Mr Mendolia (who we spoke to) indicated we could leave and that they would give us a refund. We fortunately managed to find another better hotel that night and the next day when we called them - they refused to honor what he said and give us the refund - poor customer service but even worse was the condition of the hotel. Don’t believe the pictures and frankly I doubt all the positive reviews now. we stayed at another place in Palermo the days before and it was great and as advertised - so didn’t expect this condition of hotel on Booking.com

Bisschen laut wegen Verkehr…

Die Aussicht ist wie auf den Bildern, traumhaft! Die Zimmer waren gepflegt und super sauber. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Die Lage des Hotels ist toll, es liegt jedoch direkt an einer viel befahrenen Straße.
