Mendolia Beach Hotel

The views from Our balcony was excellent and it was close to everyone and everything!

Communication about the hotel when we first booked would have helped us slot more . But we certainly enjoyed our stay. The house keeping staff were excellent

Das einzig wirklich Schöne an diesem Hotel ist der Ausblick auf die Isola Bella. Ansonsten ist das Hotel sehr alt und bietet nur minimalen Komfort. Wir haben einmal Frühstück aufs Zimmer bestellt – das war leider enttäuschend: alles in Plastik verpackt, ein einfaches Croissant und Filterkaffee. Dafür 9 € pro Person zu verlangen, ist völlig überzogen.

Sehr sauberes Zimmer mit einem geräumigem Balkon mit toller Aussicht auf das Meer und die Isola Bella. Betten bequem. Parken für 20€/Tag auf dem nahe gelegenen Parkplatz neben der Seilbahn hat gut geklappt.

Frühstück haben wir nicht genutzt, da es aus in Plastik verpackten Produkten besteht, die in einem Korb aufs Zimmer gebracht werden. Die Straße vor der Türe ist etwas laut, was aber normal ist. Bad ist klein, aber sauber.

Central but accessible to main town and walk around.Excellent restaurant opposite the hotel too. Thank you.

Amazing view, extremely clean room, lovely staff

The hotel is situated on the only road in and out of the beach area in Taormina. There was a lot of noise from the traffic (including motorcycles, buses and trucks!), so sitting on the balcony (overlooking the water) wasn't very relaxing - but the view (water view room) was spectacular. Our room had 4 single beds (for 3 of us), a desk, small fridge and a small closet. It was really cramped but fine for sleeping. The room and bathroom were clean. We didn't partake in the breakfast, nor the "private beach" (that is only accessible by a very busy, long, stone staircase leading from the road to the beach). The beach area was really crowded (and we visited late September!) and very small, but scenic. On the main road, there were plenty of little cafes, restaurants and mini-markets nearby, and the cable car into the old city of Taormina is just a 5-minute walk away. We enjoyed our time in Taormina, but if we return again we would try to find a hotel that is in a quieter area and not on a busy road.
