"Sadly not the greatest for the reasons above."

I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the hotel as my room was big with a large terrasse. The location is quite central, 100m from the main streets and restaurants, less than 15 min walk to the beach.

-There was not blanket, only one bed sheet so I was cold all night. - Ants in my bathroom. - Set of towel wasn’t fully changed after the first night which was resolved quickly. - the breakfast was terrible: the coffee from a Dated ( not very clean - see picture ) coffee machine, no fruits, no “non dairy” option, the croissants and cake stale..I didn’t even take it and left to Starbucks directly at the top of the road. - I asked to pre book my taxi as I needed to leave at 4am to the airport. I was told by the receptionist that I didn’t need to do that, that it was a student town and that the night receptionist will book me a cab when checking out. My friend was staying in another hotel and managed to pre book her cab so I was quite surprised. Then the journey of hell started at 3.45am. The night receptionist didn’t speak English or Bulgarian AT ALL, but Russian. She wanted to charge me for drinks of the minibar I had never drunk. Didn’t have a clue what she was doing. Refused to book me a cab as wanted me to pay but was unable to give me an invoice. At this stage I realised I was going to miss my flight, as she wouldn’t open the door of the hotel or let me go,so I to called my friend to talk to her in Bulgarian, but she didn’t understand either! I begged her to come and pick me up with her own cab. But the receptionist wouldn’t let me go. Overstressed, I insisted for her to call her manager on the phone, who was quite patronising, not even apologising for putting me under so much pressure with a member of staff who couldn’t book a cab as agreed. I nearly missed my flight and was in such a state when I left. I never leave bad reviews, but on this occasion, I still don’t understand how you could refuse to pre book me a cab and hire someone who can’t even communicate with the guests.
