Villa Cezar

Really excellent place to stay if you're happy enough to make the 30 minute bus ride to split. The staff were super friendly and helpful!

Perfect, except there is no restaurant near.

The Villa Cezar is a great hotel if you need a quick stay near the airport. I'm guessing the 2.5/5 rating is because others didn't know what they were getting into. The hotel is reasonably far from the Split city center. It's very cheap though. The rooms are clean, comfortable bed and fully-equipped bathroom, all for less than $100. I was satisfied with my one-night stay.

The room was nice but many items were dated. The kitchen appliences were falling apart and there was an awful smell in the bathroom like a dead animal. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would recommend the hotel based on the price and location, only about 20 minutes from Split.

We stayed here for an early start at the airport. You can get a bus which takes about 20 minutes for 12 kuna ( taxi 160 kuna!) Simple, well appointed rooms. Very clean and good mattress. Staff helpful and nice. Pretty breakfast area and free wifi. Quiet area. Good value for money.

I stayed here specifically because it was close to the airport, so for that the location was ideal. The property is in a nice suburb but it is far from the action of Split. Two major problems while I was here. First , they could not find my reservation when I was checking in. Luckily, there wasn't an issue since the hotel seemed slow that day. Second, hotel staff walked in on me twice while I was in my room. So privacy is an issue here. I just got the feeling that they were fairly casual about things. Good things about the hotel- price is great for what you get. My room had a kitchen and living room area. It is close to the Split-Airport bus line. There are also plenty of grocery stores nearby. They had a nice morning breakfast option for about 30 Kuna. All in all the value was great but my stay in particular felt a little odd. I wouldn't stay here if you're seeing Split. There are so many great other private apartment options near the center of the city. Try those first!

We booked this hotel as it was en route from the airport to Kastela Marina where we were chartering our yacht the next morning. It's two minutes walk to the bus stop on the no 37 bus route which is ideal and goes all the way to Split and stops right outside the marina. Good value.

Staff was great. Hotel room was very pleasant & comfortable. Nice to have a balcony.

Staff was unfriendly and not at all helpful. The restaurant never served any meals and there was never anyone around to ask where to find a meal. The bakery down the street was very helpful with the location of restaurants!
