Die Lage,sehr ruhig,nice house,close to the centre

Compared with other houses in this style: Breakfast is very basic,if you want fruitsalad or a little cheese it's extra charched. No posibility to sit somewhere else,read a little or have a glass of wine as it was recommended inthe romantic hotels guide. The main reason to choose this bed and breakfast was the pool.I enjoy very much to take a short swim before breakfast and in the afternoon.It's only to use when paying 35 € for one hour! Yes,it's a very nice house and the hosts are very polite.But we think it's more show and of course a good buisiness than a warm welcoming home for guests.

The attentiveness to detail and cleanliness. Kindness of the owners and sweetness of the house dog. The bath house is breathtakingly beautiful. The property is a truly magnificent masterpiece of elegance with a maximalist design twist which adds even more charm.

The bed wasn’t the most comfortable I slept in.

De gastheren Jan en Marc zijn bijzonder gastvrij en doen er alles aan om het hun gasten aan niets te laten ontbreken. De service is van hoog niveau! En dan de locatie; daar raak je niet uitgekeken en niet over uitgesproken. En ook hierover delen de gastheren met plezier de verhalen en achtergronden. Het pand adment de rijke historie van de stad. We waanden ons weer in de 18e eeuw, de inrichting is smaakvol en bijzonder en met veel historisch besef zonder dat het oubollig is. De kleuren, de ornamenten, de kunst, alles is met de grootste zorg samengesteld. Onze kamer was zeer comfortabel en met dezelfde liefde en passie ingericht. De bedden zeer comfortabel. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid en zeer smaakvol. Bestel zeker het roerei! Kortom; The Verhaegen is een parel op alle vlakken en een echte aanrader!

This experience is like a fantasy you thought only existed in dreams. The gentlemen, who are also interior designers, have invested so much love into preserving and polishing this older mansion, that the result is exquisite. What a surprise for the eyes! Of all the wonderful places we have ever stayed, this B&B gets the reward for the most beautiful. The gardens, breakfast and hospitality, also deserve accolades. BRAVO!II

It was beautifully designed and maintained. Apple tree in the garden, fresh coffee and eggs every morning, handwritten notes when you check in and out. If you want a unique stay in a one of a kind property - this is for you!
