Comfy bed, spacious room.

Breakfast (of which we had paid for) was cereal and toast. The proprietor informed us upon arrival that nobody has breakfast and ‘he couldn’t be arsed doing breakfast’. He then proceeded to go on about how he can’t make any money any longer and the economy - not really the welcome that guests arriving for a leisurely stay want! Felt like he was doing us a massive favour which given it had cost us £330 for 2 nights wasn’t the case. Bathroom very tired.

Decor is nice. Squeaky floorboards, otherwise quiet night sleep. Bus stop right outside the door.

Would have liked a cooked breakfast before setting off.

Cleanliness of the area. Well tidied

Check in time too late and check out time too early for a standard hotel. It would create more value if check in starts at 3pm and check out at 11am.

Quiet area. Bed was EXTREMELY comfortable.

Communication very poor. Messaged property before visit and no response. Had issues during the stay and no way to contact the property for assistance. Room stated breakfast was included. No cooked breakfast offered despite being advertised in the room information book, website, and in communal/breakfast room. I wasn't the only guest confused by this. Continental breakfast but only orange juice on offer. Food wasn't allowed in the room, as a guest travelling for work this wasn't ideal. I was advised I could 'sit outside to eat food'. I ended up eating in my car, not ideal after a long day of work. Shower facilities had so many 'tricks' to adhere to to ensure it didn't leak to room below. Floor boards creaky, I was concerned I was disturbing the guest below me during the middle of the night. Bathroom not adequately stocked. Ran out of toilet paper the first night and no way to contact reception. Parking is extremely tricky and can be very difficult to navigate the car park behind the building to get down the very narrow passage without scrapping your car against the building.

Room was clean and tidy

The building itself was tired and in need of an upgrade! Very expensive for what it was.

The proprietor was very welcoming & the property was lovely. Room was very nice. Would definitely recommend & book again.

There seemed to be a problem with the water pressure in the room. Explained this to the owner who in turn explained this was an external problem.

The breakfast was minimal, cold room no heating on.
