"Absolutely amazing. "

10.0

What a fabulous experience. The family who runs this very special place is so warm and welcoming that you'd go back again just to see them. Fantastic setting which you can walk into the charming town from. Also, the food they make is exceptional. Gorgeous decor and amenities. We really fell in love with this special place and people. will be back!

"WONDERFUL OLD WATER MILL"

Our third stay at this outstanding hotel set in its own spacious grounds. Treated like long lost friends each time we visit. Definitely worth a detour.

"A real gem"

10.0

Moulin de Vigonac is really something very special and a testament to the 10 years hard work by Oliver and his family in getting the business up and running. The hotel is situated in a beautiful, tranquil location away from the main town and the warm welcome from Oliver and his mother, Giselle, will set the tone for your stay. The bedrooms are very well equipped and beautifully decorated - it's all about understated quality and a high degree of comfort. Moulin de Vigonac deserves every single one of its excellent ratings.

"Luxurious but pricy"

6.0

Nice setting, excellent room, welcoming owner. Some parts of evening dinner menu OK - the amuse bouche, the entree, the sorbet were excellent. The main course (confit of duck - rather greasy and quality similar to what you'd expect in a €13 menu at a street cafe) poor value and the cheeses nothing special. Least expensive wine €31 a bottle - yes €31! Breakfast ridiculously priced at €17... we didn't partake

"Great location, nice setting and top notch service"

8.0

The host was very welcoming and provided a personalized service. A little on the expensive side but beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Just a 20 min walk from downtown. Wonderful breakfast, all home made. The bed was comfortable, we slept very well. Room was cute too, we stayed in room Helene. I recommend it for a romantic stay.

"Great food, friendly staff & excellent facilities"

10.0

We stayed here for one night as a stop over while driving through France and had a fantastic stay. We were greeted by the owners on arrival and taken to our room which was extremely well presented and had been refurbished recently. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant and decided to try the local specialities and were v impressed both with the standard of cooking and the attentive service. Breakfast was equally good with a selection of fruits and pastries followed by eggs prepared to order. We finished our visit with a short walk in the peaceful grounds. Overall a v enjoyable stay and good value for money too given the high standard of the accommodation and food.

"Charming hotel"

8.0

Our room was very nice and always perfectly clean. The owners of the hotel were friendly and charming. The exterior of the hotel looked a bit tatty on first sight but it was the end of the season and rather wet when we stayed. In fact, the grounds and river running through are lovely and would be stunning in the summer. We had a very relaxed and pleasant stay and would definetely return.

"absolutely delightful"

10.0

My husband and I cannot imagine a more magical place to stay...we spent 3 wonderful nights there ...are already thinking of making a side trip next year from nearby Spain. A lovely property run by the most gracious and attentive family - Famille Alexeline who really welcomed us with open arms and made sure our needs were met. Their attention to detail followed through to the design of the rooms - the room we stayed in was spacious and had all the amenities we could want. A great place to relax and spend at leisure and as home base for visiting nearby sites of interest. Breakfast was delicious and generous and dinner was wonderful too as well as convenient if you don't want to be going out after a long day of touring. Great benefit also is that it is only a 15 min leisurely walk thru the fields to the very charming town of Brantome where you can do a bit of window shopping and sit at the cafe. We took advantage of our small balcony to enjoy a bottle of wine and snack we bought in town the day we visited.. Property is lovely, filled with flowers, picturesque down to the small bridge across the waters ...yes we will be back next year

We had a thoroughly delightful stay at Le Moulin de Vigonac. It is in a lovely setting and all the rooms are beautifully decorated. The owners are extremely hospitable and make sure every detail is taken care of. The food was delicious as well. They really take pride in making sure you have a great experience. It truly is a labor of love and it shows. In addition it was very reasonably priced.

"Le Moulin de Vigonac in Brantome"

10.0

The family operated business was so welcoming. Easy walking distance to the medieval village of Brantome. Restaurant food on premises was divine and oh so filling. Nothing was ever too much bother for the family, they aimed to please. A beautiful tranquil setting, with the sound of water running, ducks on the pond, gardens to walk through.
