I stayed here twice. Both times I was upgraded to the same suite. The staff was very friendly and helpful; their levels of English varied but I was always able to make it work. The room was spotlessly clean and was very comfortable. It was also huge. The view from the room is unbeatable. The pool is small but very clean and functional. The area around the hotel is a bit rough but that is to be expected in Salvador. It is also well-located to visit the Pelourinho. The staff were helpful with safety recommendations. I did not experience any security issues.

Localização ótima... Favorece a quem está buscando conhecer a parte histórica de Salvador.. Pelourinho a 2 min de caminhada.. Ambiente da pousada muito agradável.. What a lovely stay! The Pousada is in a Prime location - with a great view over pelourinho and only 5min away from the Oldtown center It’s very clean, the pool is well maintained The Staff is super sweet and helpful And the Superb breakfast! - one of the best pão de queijo!! :)

My sister booked this for us for our last night before flying home and it proved a gem. Beautifully furnished rooms with comfortable beds, good air conditioning and excellent shower. Breakfast was an excellent buffet, eaten outside in the garden with gorgeous views of Pelorinho. Staff were very helpful and let us leave our suitcases there whilst we explored the city. They organised us a taxi to the airport which was competitively priced and the driver spoke very clearly enabling me to understand a fair bit of what he said - Usually people speak so fast that my extremely limited Portuguese leaves me blank! We were in Salvador for my son's wedding who moved there last year so we will be going back regularly and intend to book at this Posada again. The street is not really safe after dark but cars can pull in to the yard behind closed gates so it is actually very safe entering and leaving the secure compound and during the day it is a five minute walk into the heart of Pelorinho. For a very noisy city, this hotel was magically quiet and peaceful
