The staff were exceptional. They assisted with every query we had even with the language barrier on our end. They were very responsive, kind and courteous.

To be fair, the room itself looked fine and was decently equipped with a seating area, an espresso machine (replenished daily), two complimentary bottles of water every morning, and a TV with casting capabilities. Additionally, the reception staff at check-in were polite and patiently answered our questions.

However, the issues with the room quickly became apparent. The bathroom had severe drainage problems; during every shower, the tub filled up halfway, forcing us to stand in dirty water that took ages to drain. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, strangely tilting downward towards the head (the legs at the foot of the bed were noticeably higher than the headboard side). Furthermore, our "view" consisted of 70% hotel wall and 30% of a nearby pedestrian street corner frequented by loud, drunk people. The Absolute Worst – A Dangerous Safety Failure: On our departure day, at 5:00 AM, a deafening, piercing alarm woke us up in absolute panic. After two minutes of announcements in Slovak, it switched to English, ordering an immediate evacuation via the emergency stairs. Terrified of a potential fire or a severe security threat, we rushed out with other guests into the emergency stairwells, which completely lacked clear directional signage. When we made it outside, dozens of guests were standing on the street in their pajamas, confused, exhausted, and terrified. There was absolutely no hotel staff present. No one to guide us, explain the situation, or reassure the guests. The hotel was entirely abandoned, and even the reception desk was completely empty when we checked inside. To make matters worse, no emergency services (fire department or police) ever arrived, which is mind-boggling during a mass evacuation of a major hotel. Because we had a flight to catch, we were forced to leave without a proper check-out. I sent an email informing them of our departure, and once we reached the airport, we called the hotel. The receptionist casually told us it was just a "technical glitch." I expressed how absurd and dangerous it was to have an emergency evacuation with zero security or staff on-site to assist, and demanded compensation for this traumatic ordeal—especially from a Marriott chain hotel that prides itself on professional standards.

The hotel is close to the downtown, because it easy achieve the famous places in the city. The staff was very kind and helpful, mainly in the reception. The room was comfortable, especially the bathroom, which was big and bright with bath. The room was clean and smells good. The temperature was right, but we turned of the air conditioner.

The elevator works only with the room card. The view from the room was not so good, because we could see just the backyard and the other side of the hotel, which was very close, so from the other room it can see through the window, therefore we had to use the curtains.

New modern facilities, near city center, good price, comfortable room and bed.

A false fire alarm at 5:00 at the morning and evacuation of the building destroy our one day stay at Bratislava. No explanation given by the staff not even a coffee.
