Old Manse Inn

We had a truly wonderful stay with Brian and Charlie who were such friendly and helpful hosts and provided many thoughtful touches. The Old Manse itself made for an authentic Cape Cod experience with its historic vibe, and we enjoyed our spacious en suite room. Special shoutout to the housekeeping/breakfast servers who took such good care of us each morning and were so friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts and baked treats each day, all homemade by Brian himself. A memorable visit.

Daily two-course breakfasts, which are included in the price, are delicious and prepared by Chef Brian himself. The wait staff are interns living and working on The Cape and are all delightful, professional and great young people. If you are not the adventurous type of breakfast eater, there are several traditional options available every day to choose as an alternative. We have stayed there 3 times in recent years (and would have been more if not for Covid) and the rooms are all comfortable, super clean, beautifully decorated with antiques and wonderful amenties. This time we treated ourselves to the Lewis Bay Light Suite and it was definitely upscale, luxurious and beautiful. While you're out exploring The Cape or at the beach, the rooms are spotlessly cleaned and there is a fresh supply of homemade cookies, waters, sodas and coffees and teas replenished for all of the guests, either in your room or on each floor in the main house. We didn't make it back in time for wine and cheese in the late afternoon, but it's just nice to relax before dinner and meet up with some of the other guests.

Brian went above and beyond thinking about the details of our stay. It all started before we even met Brian. Email, phone, and text to get our time of breakfast time, food preferences, and check-in time. When we arrived Brian met us and showed us the ropes. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I slept very well. The shower was hot and strong. Breakfast was gourmet with a fruit course then the delicious main course. Some extras include coffee and cookies, wine and cheese, a nice glass of Port in the living room, use of a refrigerator, and fresh water in the room every day. The location and setting were perfect. The folks staffing the Inn were friendly and interesting.

The breakfast could be lighter. They did have scrambled eggs but a light omelette with veggies and herbs. More interesting toast or muffins . Homemade baked goods

The property is lovely. We especially liked that they provided beach umbrellas, chairs, and towels for the beach.

Very personalized attention from the owner/operators. All interactions were terrific. Breakfast was very tasty and well presented. We enjoyed our stay.
