People are nice and the rooms are clean

An exceptional place, all the staff was friendly

Very nice room. Working fridge, bathroom, lights, and WiFi. Quiet at night. Easy check-in process. The girl at the front desk with the pink hair had our key cards ready when we walked in (we had only booked ten minutes prior). Very comfortable.

Bathroom door did not close all the way or lock.

I checked into the Candlewood Suites in Sumter SC on 7/19. The room looked great, and I even got an upgrade for my room type. I had to call to the front desk to get pillows, blankets and sheets for the sleeper sofa as there was none in the room for my granddaughters. When I finally got to go to bed, I pulled back the blankets on the bed in the bedroom and there was blood stains on the sheet. We all slept on the sleeper sofa for the night. I called the front desk first thing Saturday morning and informed the front desk with what I had found the night before. They told me they would send housekeeping up when they came in to take care of the situation. Housekeeping arrived and the lady said she was the Supervisor and cleaned the room herself the day before. She claimed she would have never put sheets on looking like that. I informed her of the trash I found in the trashcan under the kitchen sink as well, and it wasn't my trash. She and another cleaner cleaned the bed right away. Meanwhile, the GM Kaitlynn called me in the room and asked what was the problem. I filled her in, and the first thing out of her mouth was we won't be compensating anything on the room. Mind you, I am a Gold Elite member, and I hadn't even asked for compensation. All I wanted was clean sheets on the bed. But, the tone the GM used with me was unacceptable. I will finish out my stay until Friday at the hotel, due to having little ones with me, but next time I am in Sumter SC, I will be staying at another hotel. Like I said, all I was asking for was clean sheets and the GM made it seem that I was looking for a free room.

Everything was fine but the only problem I had was the clerk ended up giving my room to someone else. But I was accommodated with another room! My stay was lovely

The customer service was amazing especially the young lady that checked me in. There was a problem with me prepaying through Expedia but she was able to resolve the issue even being new to the job. The property itself seem old and smelled of mildew. My room didn’t smell fresh even after the a 2 day stay. Smelled as if someone left onions in the trash for an extended period of time. This is an ok hotel for a quick stay but if you are looking for luxury this is not it. The price was way too much for the hotel, not a value!

Everything was nice and clean.

Would recommend since we had no issues, and the property was clean and well maintained.
