Best Western Copper Hills Inn

The construction crew left an open exacto knife on the sidewalk where anyone could step on it or a child could pick it up. The plastic everywhere was understandable, but they didn't make much effort to remove obstacles out of your way when you were passing by. Empty water bottles were left everywhere and the buckets were blocking the walkway instead of off to the side. There were no wet paint signs used, either. There was a long metal spring on the stairway that if you didn't see would trip you up. Just left there. It was noisy, and there were no signs anywhere explaining what was happening. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, it was just a lot of chaos with out any regard to people's safety.

Good location and professional staff. Love there’s a winery across the street, very unexpected.

Breakfast only 2 hours. 6 am to 8 am.

Close to family

It was under renovation. We paid a higher room rate than other hotels expecting a better experience.

bed squeeked and kept us awake all night. Miserable night.

Very noisy in the mornings. I worked at the neighborhood hospital until 2:30 in the morning. I was woken up starting at 4:30 in the morning. Because of that, I would not choose this as my first choice.

Clean

Upon my arrival, I was met with a not very happy and friendly employee who barely spoke 2 words to me. She had a serious sour look on her face and was not happy to help me. I saw that the hotel was under construction, which I got no notice on prior to my arrival. She also didn't follow the note from management laying on the counter about talking to me "before check-in" reference the situation with construction. When I walked into my room, it was very hot because the AC had been turned off completely. It took until the evening to cool off. The inside of the room was nice as it had been completed, but the front desk and not being able to look out my window for safety was a definite negative in my books. I travel for work and doubtful I would like to stay here again. It's a shame because the hotel has potential.
