"Not 2.5 stars."

4.0

The service staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome, but the room was old, dirty, and less comfortable than staying in a hostel dorm.

"not a qualified hotel for foreign travelers"

4.0

rooms are spacy but located in Arabian area, a bit too far for a walk from Darmascus Gate where there's a van service but infrequent. only a small vandor-like grocery available nearby, no other choice at all if you didn't prepare for what you need in downtown. it seems to me they don't change the sheet everyday or even there's no sheet at all. the staff is helpful in english especially in this area. they conceded the hotel really needs a renovation before it attracts more foreign travelers even for budget ones.

"beatiful view but disgusting room"

4.0

we were only staying for a night, but the room was terrible, the pillow was dirty, the breakfast was disgusting - it all came from cans and we got stomack-pain afterwords , the batheroom-light went out when we tied to turn on the lights, and the room was all in all very cold. furthermore you have too walk on a very trafication road, to get to the central of Jerusalem, it was okay for i night but i wouldn't stay there again!

"Arab ONLY!"

2.0

This is an Arab run hotel. They do not allow American's to eat in the restaurant while Arabs are there. There heater breaks daily too. The view is beautiful and it is a cheap place. However, taxi's don't like to go there and there is nothing in the immediate area. DO NOT STAY HERE. This should be labeled a 1 star hotel.

"Good Hotel"

8.0

"Panorama" is truly the right title for this hotel. The sixth floor provides a 270 degree view of Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives, and the areas east. It is breath-taking! The staff are very helpful with accommodations and tour arrangements. The rooms are no-frills, but adequate. The important thing is that it is walking distance to the Old City of Jerusalem. I highly recommend it.

"Convenient location, terrible hotel"

2.0

Do yourself a favor and cough up the money for a better hotel. The building is old and unmaintained, the halls and room stink of mold and smoke, and to top it off, they did not have hot water! When presented with complaints, the clerk was rude and did not offer any compensation. What a jerk. About the only good things are the free wifi and the proximity to the old city. Not worth at all though.

"Jerusalem Panorama Hotel"

4.0

Condition and maintenance was not good. The bathroom had a sulfer like smell so had to keep it closed. Location is in the Arab side of the city, kind of noisy at night. I got what I paid for.

"Best view of distant mosque (Al-Aqsa)"

10.0

This hotel is located in Ras Al-Amud, don't get confused with the other Panorama hotel especially if you are driving with aid of Israeli GPS navigator (missleading GPS software). It is within a walkable distance from the gates of Al-Aqsa mosque. It is surrounded by few shops. The hotel offer a decent breakfast which you can enjoy with the panoramic view of the old city. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Free parking space for your car, if you dirve, is also aviable. Free WiFi and all in all it was the best choice for me and next time I will book this hotel for sure.

"Three rooms in 24 hours"

4.0

The staff at the hotel were most congenial. There were, however, glaring problems with the maintenance of the hotel. My first night I discovered I didn't have any A/C in my room. When I told the front desk I was told to open my windows. "It's cool outside." I did open my windows. There was a breeze blowing. Unfortunately, until after midnight there were also some men having an animated conversation RIGHT UNDER my fifth floor window. Yes. Sound carries up to the fifth floor. The view of the Temple mount was outstanding. It's location was convenient for my ramblings around in the City of David. But, until I moved into my third room, I didn't have A/C. And then, my windows didn't lock. On the fifth floor that might not have been a problem. This room, however was just above ground level (on the third floor in the back). Again, the staff was FRIENDLY. The hotel management just needed to put some more resources in caring for the hotel's infrastructure.

"Economy Hotel for Traveler on a Budget"

8.0

If you are on a budget and just need a safe place to lay your head at night, you can go with this hotel. Whether or not to choose this hotel would depend of what you want to do in the city. If you are interested in seeing Christian holy sites, there are quite a few right down the street. There is a bus stop near the hotel, Arab buses number 36 and 63 will take you into Jerusalem. The ride costs 5 shekels which is better than paying 30 to 45 for cabs. The hotel will give you an Arab city map and an Arab bus map. They'll tell you the bus schedule if you need it. The staff are quite friendly and helpful. If you have the time, you can also just walk. Make sure your clothes cover you well and you have a bottle of water with you. The sun in the open space is ruthless. If you are interested in nightlife and entertainment, you may want to go with a West Jerusalem lodging instead, it will make things a lot easier for you. If you stay out in the city late, you will need to take a cab back to the hotel. Be prepared that some Israeli cabs won't go there so you'll need to find an Arab cabby. There are buses that go to the Western Wall even late at night, in principle you can walk from there to the hotel, but you'll be scared and it's just not a good idea. I think that the hotel needs to change their front door sign, because it's so dirty that it makes the place really feel like a dump. Once you're inside, you realize that it's an okay place to sleep.
