Malikia Resort Abu Dabbab

Everything was beautiful. The entire team was cooperative and friendly. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere at the resort was pleasant overall. The most special thing about the place was the sea. You can go snorkelling right near the first point in the water and see various types of fish, which is a wonderful experience. A tip for anyone visiting is to bring their own snorkelling gear. Thanks to everyone in the staff, especially Mr.Nagy, and thanks for the birthday cake and the small party and everything.

Polite staff, tasty, delicious food, beautiful park and environment, cleanliness everywhere, direct connection to the beach, simply delightful, this is Malikia. I recommend it to anyone, I will be back

diving center moved without notice so our room was opposite and we had long ways; food was ok but not what we had expected in that category; also restaurant far away from the beach and beach bar closed very early; construction works ongoing

- Very nice private sandy beach right next to the reef, 2 diving schools within walking distance - Plenty of food offered, including a lot of veggies. The meal time windows are relatively flexible - Resort looks a bit outdated, but it’s overall clean and comfortable - Most of the staffs are friendly and helpful, and nobody actively fishes for tips which is nice for Egypt

- They try to be international by doing themed dinners, but they are at most an attempted imitation of cuisines they are unfamiliar with using Egyptian ingredients. It makes no sense to me, it would have been much nicer if they can offer more Egyptian food options instead. There are veggie dishes, but not many protein options for vegetarians, I would have expected to see more local bean stews etc. - Overall we had a good stay, and we were also able to eat at the restaurant on the day after our checkout, which was convenient. However, we felt ripped off due to the 30 Euro taxi fare for a 20 mins ride to the airport, offered by the resort. The problem is that once you are there, you are kind of trapped in the middle of nowhere and they can ask for whatever ridiculous price they like. The front desk also “helped” us exchange a 50 euro bill to a lot of coins and a 20 euro note. Surprise surprise, the taxi coordinator (inside of the resort) refused to take the coins. So basically, the receptionist used us to get rid of the coins he didn’t want. This final interaction just before our departure killed our mood. We were happy with the resort but left there with a nasty taste - Make sure you have everything you need with you. e.g. Nivea sunblock would cost 25 euros at the resort pharmacy. I really don’t know how these resorts have the audacity to ask for crazy prices when the local income level is so low. When travelling in Egypt, I often feel stupid as I almost always end up paying prices which are up to 10 times in some cases only because I’m not Egyptian. This is a general observation, not related to the sunblock example - During our 5 nights stay, we spotted 2 cockroaches, 1 outside in the building, 1 in our bathroom

Simply love Malikia! It’s my second time in less than a year! I travel a lot (from Brazil to Mexico, Arctic to South Africa and Mauritius, Europe to South-Eastern Asia) and it NEVER happened to me before to choose the same resort for the beach leisure 🙈 But being a freediver I find it perfectly balanced - the home reef, ability to find Dugong with a high quality Diving.DE centre, good food and well located rooms. Hi to the whole Malikia Resort team and especially general manager Nagy and hospitality manager Sheriff 🙏 It’s actually has been kind of Freediving Mecca for Russian freedivers, we stay here on our way to and from Satahya reef.

Very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Firstly, the manager gave us a choice of two rooms, neither of which was what I had booked - a sea view room. Instead we got a room overlooking the construction site at the pool. Secondly, the food was very unpalatable. Plenty of choice, but absolutely all the dishes were prepared as if the aim was to spoil the flavor. We went for one dinner at la Luna restaurant, the main difference being the location on the street. Otherwise, the service and food were identical. We didn't understand why it was necessary to book in advance at all, especially considering that the main restaurant is also located outside. Also the bartender was misogynistic and treated me very rudely, I didn't get my tea after 15 minutes and left.... Third, If you go for snorkeling, I recommend choosing a neighboring hotel as otherwise you have to walk across the beach to the reef. We never managed to dive from the jetty at this hotel, as both days there were strong waves and a red flag hanging in that part of the beach.

Everything was perfect , not just perfect but the best location as well, staff we're kind helpful and they were always smiling (true smile)!!! Food variant was amazing! And the beach was just a big waooooooo 😍😍

Security guard..he was racist since I'm from Hungary but my mom has Sudanese blood so that means I'll do have it in myself as well. I was with my father who is European and my girlfriend who as well, he stopped JUST me when coming in with my father and my girlfriend and not asked for.my room number he asked me where I'm from, it's like not your business which country I'm from.. That was the only bad thing happened here.
