Hotel Villa Maria Ischia Porto

Fabulous spot, right near the harbour and town centre. Lovely old building. The room was very comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful, speaking good English which helped us. Great value for money.

I have traveled all over the world and this was by far the worst hotel I have ever walked into. The outside of the hotel looks nice, but the photos on the site are very deceptive to what the rooms are actually like. The place needs torn down and severely renovated. Bugs in the bedding and unclean/wet floor. It was so bad that I walked into the room set my stuff down and booked another hotel right away because there was yelling in the hallway and didn’t feel safe. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE... The room smelled like mildew and the balcony is free access for anyone that also has a balcony. The door lock was eaten away by insects or something and wouldn’t lock properly. If safety and cleanliness are important to you, do not book here.

Staff were very helpful, location was superb within minutes of the port and bus station, an easy stroll and right next to eateries and shops with a 10 minute walk to the beach.

Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby with any signal strength and breakfast was a little basic
