Marriott Platinum for life. First time as a Marriott rewards customer that I was told that going from two queen beds to a King was considered the free room upgrade. Both the King room and two queens were the same price when I reserved the room. Instead to get a suite I had to pay an upgrade fee to go to a King room. Then they upgraded me to the suite. Never have I ever had this happen at a Marriott. Over $200 per nite for thin sheets and a not too clean room.

Great hotel conveniently located next to downtown restaurants....on highway only downer...a little noisy but not too bad at night.

The parking lot for this hotel was easy to miss but luckily once we checked-in we did not need the car until checking out. The hotel feels new or newly renovated inside. It’s walking to distance to the scenic rail station and downtown with eateries and shopping. It was a relaxing stay. The bathroom is very spacious and the shower was fantastic - could benefit from a quiet-close toilet lid though. Bed was lower to the ground than most places but still comfortable. The property is situated between a highway and train tracks so there is a low level of traffic noise heard while inside the rooms but it wasn’t terrible. A trail into town connects to the back of the property- this was the best feature for us.

I greatly appreciated the fact that there was a real working exhaust fan in the bathroom. It may sound silly, but most hotels don't have them anymore and the bathroom is always stuffy or too humid after the shower.

The bathroom did not have a light around the mirror so it was difficult to apply my makeup and feel confident it looked good.

Breakfast was great.

Booked hotel specifically for the hot tub. Hot tub was inoperable.

The location was great. Building seemed well taken care of.

Maybe need a bigger breakfast selection.
