Clos De Vaul Creux

Endroit paisible où l'on se sent bien et où l' on est bien accueilli. Décor extérieur bucolique et décor intérieur cocooning.

nous avons été accueilli avec une grande gentillesse dans un endroit charmant avec un jardin magnifique .Notre chambre était très confortable , une bougie parfumée brûlait gentiment devant notre fenêtre,il y avait une petite bouilloire pour se faire un thé ou un café, avec de jolies tasses, et nous avons dormis dans nos lits comme dans un nid douillet.Le matin , le petit déjeuné était délicieux, nous l'avons pris dans le jardin en compagnie des papillons au couleur fabuleuse.la dame de la maison est une femme chaleureuse et souriante , toujours attentionnée, c’était un superbe séjour , on reviendra, c'est sur!!

These were my first impressions: • my opened off the dining/sitting room and had no key allowing anyone full access to my belongings • the rug was stained • there was no carpet • the furniture was stained and chipped • all the paintwork was chipped • it looked as if it had been a utility room or cloakroom, with rows of coat hooks over the bed and a glass door to the garden • there was a three bulb, utilitarian light fitting with two bulbs, only one of which was working • there was a basic shower room, not very clean. I had to get myself a clean glass It later became apparent that • on one side of my bed was a wall to the kitchen with noise and smells constant • the voices from the dining room were as loud as if they were in the room with me In the morning a man walked into my room whilst I was dressing. I then decided it was time to leave.....

A mixed experience. The situation is handy.The house and grounds appear very relaxed.The staff are extremely welcoming, thoughtful and eager. Nicely cooked and delicious breakfast,if only 1 boiled egg.Tables and buffet had been attractively prepared in the courtyard for breakfast. The garden lights by the gate welcoming when returning at night. The twin room, was not up to expectations. Accurately described as small,the description failed to mention the room,and 2 more were directly off the breakfast/sitting room.Acknowledging a no keys policy,a recognition of guests privacy could be made,an internal lock or a small private sign.We did meet someone who had afternoon tea here,and looking for the loo found a couple in bed. The shower looked very compact and awkward for anyone of height. On booking a double room was requested if one became available.One did,maybe because the Manque Iles Express didn't sail that day. We were booked on the same ferry but rather than lose a non cancellable room flew to Guernsey, then Sark ferry. We moved from not so good £110 room to the better attic one, lovely bathroom ,split toilet with locks,for extra £20.Plenty of hot water.A lovely house,deserves fresh paint, carpet cleaning,and garden flowers in rooms.I could not see info about dinner availability on website A phone call prior to going advised as some places now closed. Disappointment with room was largely down to expectation. Sark wonderful.

We love Sark having stayed there 5 times previous for short breaks this being the first time at the Clos De Vaul Creux which although classed as a guesthouse is really like a boutique hotel. Situated beautifully near the little shops and several restaurants and little pubs

Staff was very friendly and helpful Beautiful garden Room was extremely clean and well maintained Was only there for one night but would highly recommend it

Personnel très aimable, souriant et disponible, faisant toujours l'effort de nous comprendre. L'hôtel est situé au coeur du village, entouré d'un grand et beau jardin avec la possibilité de manger non pas seuls mais à l'écart, tranquillement. Sa situation permet la découverte de l'île à pied sans difficulté.

Very nice hotel and convenient for local transport.

Sehr bemühte Crew. Zurückhaltend, nicht aufdringlich. Dezent im Hintergrund! Sehr entgegenkommend und hilfsbereit. Kochten nur für drei Personen, da es im Ort schwierig war am Abend essen zu gehen. Bei der Ankunft gab es wegen airberlin Schwierigkeiten. Wir konnten die erste Nacht deswegen nicht im Hotel verbringen, da die Fähre nicht mehr fuhr! Ich hätte mir deswegen vom Gastwirt ein kleines Entgegenkommen "Zuckerl" erwartet ( evtl. Eine Flasche ??Wein öä...?)
