"Good standard guesthouse in a great location for a vacationor or a base if you’re working in the area"

Great location to explore and experience all the local attractions and amenities.

We heard a bit of noise from the traffic and partygoers on the street below our room over the weekend which noticeable but didn’t go on too late. We visited off season so could be potentially more intrusive in the busy summer months when a lot of people are about.

Location. I wanted a room close to town centre, but without noise. Guest house very clean.

My room 4, very small. Admittedly I booked at short notice without reading the small print. I had hoped to stay at a friend's house ,but he was out of town .I thought £70 was steep for such a small room, but on a Saturday evening there was nothing cheaper available near South Shields.

The place was beautiful, the hosts were exceptional friendly ,helpful, the beds were so comfortable, the breakfast was wonderful nothing too much trouble . A fantastic choose .

A little gem of a place. Great location for exploring the area. Very clean and lovely crisp bed linen and towels. Fridge in room was a welcome addition and supplied with fresh water and milk every day. Hosts friendly and helpful. The shower was powerful, as was the hair dryer supplied. Toiletries supplied were good quality. Large brollies in the entrance that guests could use proved very helpful on a few occasions. I would recommend and definitely stay again.

The room was quite small. There was a bit of traffic noise on occasion but never late at night and the trade off was closeness to shops, restaurants and beach. Struggling for negatives to be honest but a very minor point if I am being ultra picky was that the shower caps provided had perished elastic and couldn't be used. I had brought my own so it wasn't a problem and I am sure if I had mentioned it, it would have been addressed immediately.
