The owner-manager was friendly and professional. The staff met all my needs. The amenities too often missing in chain motels were matched or exceeded: cable television, microwave refrigerato,r air conditioning and a excellent mattress to get a good night's sleep. The main difference to other hotels was the very reasonable price.

I liked the charm of the refurbished hotel so that perceived drawback of an older motel was a positive for me.

The owner was quite friendly, and gave us a free upgrade from a queen to king room. His wife appeared not to speak English, however despite my inability to figure out what she meant by, "Meek?", she did bring out the "Milk" and was not at all put out by my inability to understand her.

Continental Breakfast was not advertised with the word "Continental." Nothing hot was provided. The milk was expired. The orange juice was dark in color, giving the appearance of being near spoiled.
