Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bluffs

All was great.

Stains on the carpet and sofa bed, mold on the bottom of the shower curtain that didn’t reach far enough down so water got all over the floor, the pool apparently is heated but it was really really cold and had way too much chlorine in it (we took showers and scrubbed with soap and still smelled like chlorine the next night), rust and water damage in the bathroom and the kitchenette sink areas and the pillows were extremely lumpy and worn out. To top it off our pickup got broken into, door handles broken off our pickup and tools stolen. Supposedly there is 24 hour surveillance but the cameras didn’t even look like they were pointed up to see anything and we couldn’t even have the front desk lady see anything on the videos because apparently the manager only has access and she was gone until Monday. It’s now Monday and we haven’t heard anything back from the hotel manager and the cops didn’t have anything either. Not sure if the hotel just didn’t have the cameras working or on and falsely advertised 24 hour surveillance or if they just don’t care enough to help us out. Will not be staying there again or at another microtel ever again.

Price was cheap for two rooms

Room was small but comfortable and certainly clean. Loved the window seat! Breakfast was better than expected for a budget hotel and staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating. The only downside was no fridge in the room which is why I rated 4 rather than 5 stars.

The location was an easy on and off the interstate, close to everything and beautifully maintained. The check in fast and easy and the room comfortable and in top shape

This hotel was a solid decent place. The neighborhood has a lot of casinos and railway associated businesses. You need a car. Room was a bit small but price was right. Room and bathroom were clean. Nice towels. Had a bit of trouble figuring out the heater/air conditioner but I’d return.
