Hundith Hill Hotel

The setting was ideal, surrounded by wonderful scenery, but also very convenient for Cockermouth. We had evening meals as well as breakfast and the food was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a bit of a problem with the shower, but once this was sorted out it was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed the cooked breakfast. It was piping hot, very tasty and well presented. The sausages were particularly good quality from a local butcher in Cockermouth - so good in fact that I bought some to take home.

The room was comfortable but a little dated and there weren't any pictures on the wall. The toilet was difficult to flush but didn't present a problem.

Clean, spacious rooms and great facilities. Very cosy find in the lakes.

Allocating rooms in annex 1st floor to families with children. Noisy from 4.30 didn't stop till they left

Breakfast very good, well cooked.Staff friendly,service good. Evening menu served in the bar. Choice and food very good. Bedroom and bathroom clean and well equipped. Balcony a bonus even though too cold and wet to sit outside.

Took a little too long to get drinks in the bar.
