Daintree Wilderness Lodge

I booked one night here, choosing it over other cheaper options because I wanted to treat myself to a bit of luxury, and really wanted to feel immersed in the rainforest. I wasn't disappointed! The cabin was amazing - completely surrounded by the forest, accessed by a separate boardwalk to the individual cabin. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The cabin was immaculately clean. Staff were super friendly, particularly Sasha who helped answer questions before I arrived, and made me feel so welcome when checking in. The restaurant setting is beautiful, particularly for dinner when it's dark. There is also a nature walk - a trail through the rainforest where you just feel completely absorbed in nature. Sadly I didn't see any cassowaries but I did spot some footprints on my walk. I wish I'd had time to stay an extra night. If I ever visit the area again I'll definitely stay here again.

Can't think of a single thing I would be unhappy with. For me this accommodation was absolutely perfect.

What a fantastic experience! From the beautiful and comfortable cabins to the nice food served at breakfast and dinner and the friendliness of the staff, absolutely the best place to soak in all the calm of the daintree forest. The place is perfectly immersed in the nature, decorated with taste and in Harmony with the environment around.

Wunderbare ruhige Lage mitten im Regenwald. Die Betreuung war sehr persönlich durch die beiden so sympathischen, freundlichen und um das Wohl der Gäste bemühten beiden Mitarbeiter, die uns auch verschiedene Ausflüge empfohlen und für uns gebucht haben. Das Essen war liebevoll zubereitet und sehr gut. Nachts auf der Terrasse unter den beleuchteten Bäumen zu sitzen ist eine besondere Erfahrung. Die Lodges sind einzigartig, die Dusche hat eine Glasfront in den Regenwald. Und die Chance, Cassowaries zu sehen ist dort sehr hoch, da es in der Nähe zur Zeit einen Vater mit seinem Sohn gibt. Absolute Empfehlung!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen waren super lecker.

What an awesome place! Quirky rooms/cabins set out acrylic wooden bridges. Great welcome, very helpful and kind service. Lovely room with amazing shower, great breakfast and dinner menu. We experienced some amazing storms during our stay, we had an umbrella delivered to our door so we could get to breakfast dry. Staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. Daintree is a beautiful region with gorgeous beaches two days may be enough to see the delights of the area.

Fantastische plek midden in het regenwoud. Vriendelijk personeel en super om te douchen met uitzicht op het regenwoud. Restaurant is op een hele mooie plek!

We hadden best wel trek en er was niks te eten wat je tussendoor kon bestellen. Het is heel mooi dat ze zo min mogelijk eten willen verspillen, dus dat snap ik. Je kan alleen ook niet zomaar naar een supermarkt in de buurt. Op zo’n afgelegen plek, zou onze tip zijn om iets van nootjes of chipjes of iets anders dat lang houdbaar is aan te bieden bij de bar.
