In der Cabin gab es nichts, woran man die nassen Frotteetücher oder andere nassen Dinge (Kleider etc.) aufhängen konnte. Zudem wurden wir das Gefühl nicht los, dass die Nebensaison schon voll eingesetzt hatte und diverses nicht mehr so genau genommen wurde, was man für den nicht ganz billigen Preis eigentlich erwarten dürfte (nasse Tische nach dem Regen trocknen, Pool säubern, Zimmer aufräumen).

Expecting the Wilderness Lodge to be buried deep in Daintree Forest, in reality it’s about a minute’s drive off the main Cape Tribulation Road. That aside, I hoped that there would be decent length boardwalks/trails to explore deeper into the forest…however, per the girl on reception there was just one trail that didn’t take us very far at all. In fact, information for getting the most out of our stay was thin on the ground. On the plus side, the cabins themselves were suitably eco comfortable, and the rain pelting down outside added to the authentic ancient forest feeling. The roo steaks at dinner were cooked to perfection…as for breakfast the following morning, it was a frugal affair – and I really don’t understand the inflexibility around breakfast sittings? At over AUD$500 a night, our much anticipated stay fell short of expectations.

Przepiękne miejsce, wygodne łóżko, czyste domki, czysta łazienka! Domki położone w samym środku lasu deszczowego - z okien w pokoju i w łazience jest piękny widok na las! Pyszne śniadanie i pyszny obiad (uwaga, danie na obiad trzeba zamówić wcześniej!). W barku zamówić można też pyszne drinki. A wszystkim zarządza przemiła obsługa. Obiekt dba o środowisko co jest dodatkowym, dużym plusem, zwłaszcza w tak przepięknym otoczeniu!

Amazing stay in the Daintree. The lodge was one of the highlights of our Australia vacation. Staff were amazing, food in the restaurant was very good. The cabins were amazing, we had two separate cabins and both were very nice, the location is absolutely amazing. We did our own walk which was awesome, didn’t see any Kasawari on the walk, but there was evidence they were there on the ground. Very glad we chose to stay at the Daintree Wilderness Lodge, highly recommend.

Location is really good, you are surrounded by the rainforest which is a unique experience! Bed was really comfortable and nice to have a little patio in the room.

If you have to present yourself as a luxury accommodation, you need to have better trained staff. I ask to have breakfast before 8 am (because I had a tour prebooked) and they treated me like if it was a big thing to have breakfast 10 minutes before. During breakfast I spilled some coffee and used my napkin to clean and the staff girl told me “I am sorry that you used your napkin” and then never gave me a new one! This thing might not be a big thing in cheap accommodation but when you pay this kind of money a little bit more attention is necessary.
