The location of the property, the hot tub on the rooftop deck, the indoor pool, and the casino were very good.

The overall customer service on the hotel side of things was TERRIBLE. We had two issues with the spa amenities I our SPA SUITE and over the course of 3 days, not only was there no follow-up, but nothing was ever fixed. Highly disappointed and will not be back anytime soon. There was literally no point in spending all that money and then having a basic room instead of what we paid for due to the negligence on the part of the staff.

They came into my room regardless of the do not disturb/privacy tag hanging from my door. I felt violated. Never again. Terrible mattress.

The woodsy wonderland theme was cozy.

The Palantir of casinos. Despite having a DO NOT DISTURB sign up, our room was serviced regardless. I had left some gambling money on the dresser not expecting anyone to come in, it felt like I was missing some after the half tidy job that I never asked for. I don't even let my cleaning lady see my dirty underwear, but not at Ameristar, everything got exposed and I was super embarrassed. I will never, ever, stay at another Penn Entertainment company ever again as long as I live. And there was mold in the shower.

The hotel is very nice. I enjoy staying there. They have a great pool and very large hot tub.

The only negative is that I could not get the heat to go up in my room, regardless of where I set the thermostat
