If you’re coming from Piraeus Port or a metro station it’s a walk, especially if you have lots to carry. But it’s doable, so not necessary to take a cab. During the day it could be too hot to walk, during the night - the neighborhood doesn’t feel the safest, but it’s probably OK. I walked late night, it was very hot still and deserted...The hotel building is 40 y.o., but felt like older. Rooms are not big. I was told they all have balconies. This hotel is good for one or two nights of stay before or after the ferry. 12 minutes walk to the subway station according to Google, but probably a little more. It’s a busy part of the city during the day. WiFi signal wasn’t that good in the room. If i needed a room before going on the ferry, i would stay there again.

Excellent service

We originally booked a hotel in Plaka, however following an international flight cancellation which meant that we arrived in Athens at 2am, we booked this hotel on a few hours notice since our ferry to the Greek islands was leaving from Piraeus at 7am. The man at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, quiet with a comfy bed and aircon. We could easily walk to the ferry. Would recommend for an overnight stay. The area looked interesting and we wish we could have spent more time here.

The staff were very helpful with directions and with booking a taxi for the ferry, which I appreciated as a solo traveler.

What a pleasant surprise to stay at this hotel. We stayed only one night as a family in transit from Santorini/Naxos to Athens with onward travel the following night. Excellent family room on the 6th floor with one king bed and two twin beds and immaculately clean. The furniture is old style, which we thought brought a lot of charm. We woke up late, had breakfast on the balcony and took a cab to explore the Akropolis. The hotel let us store our luggage until the evening. The staff is so personable, friendly and patient. As a Swedish-American family residing in Africa, we travel constantly. This hotel is a gem for a 2-star hotel (it’s really 3-star).

Nice, clean, cosy, friendly helpful staff, comfy hall with a 70s flair, conveniently located. But DO SKIP THE TERRIBLE BREAKFAST! Overpriced (6 euros), fake milk, fake coffee, warm yogurt, old juice, stale food. You'll be much better off in one of the many little cafés in the area.
