Jen Maldives Male by Shangri-La

Not a bad Shangri La but not the best. For the price the rooms themselves are a bit tired/dingy but service is attentive. While space and facilities in the room are good, it is started to look a bit tired around the edges. Bed was comfortable, good choice of channels on tv, decent room service menu. Bathroom facilities are spacious - nice shower and extra toiletries available in case you forgot something. Rooftop restaurant has a decent local and international menu. Nice small pool on roof too. Breakfast on first floor - small ish restaurant with limited choice for those looking for an international breakfast. Live eggs station but otherwise bakery and asian/indian items. Coffee shop on ground floor. Airport very close -10/15 mins so ideal for those staying overnight for transfer. Overall it felt like a Pricey product for short stay.

Nice and delicious food .nice restaurant.clean and tidy.good ambience. Friendly staff.

Very clear communication from the Get-go - we were staying in Male City for a couple days and headed out to an island in the Maldives. The organising and communication with us in relation to this was very clear and they didn't shy away from helping. We were very pleased with the pick-up/drop-off service from Shangri-La. Shout out to Hassan from the front desk. He was the one delegated to come pick us up from the airport. He explained everything that was going on and organised our check-in. He was super friendly and still came and asked us how we were doing the next day when he caught us coming into the hotel. The food from their restaurant was super yummy - we tried it once with room service and once as a dine-in, both experiences resulted in very tasty food! The infinity pool (rooftop pool basically) was very nice, you could dip in the pool for a swim or just lie on a sun bed next to the pools

Room was a bit old and small (could simply book a bigger room if one shall need extra space)

The location was good, the view was very average. while the front desk and restaurant has done a great job, the house keeping has some improvement to do..

House Keeping has no consistency. do not replace coffee capsules, do not replace bathrobes, take away spare room key!! etc etc.. The bath water was rusty!!

Ocean view, food was good.

Nothing wrong with the hotel but Male doesn't really have much so recommend this hotel as a good pit stop on your way to a resort

Definately not a shangrinla 5star hotel. More like 3 star at 5 star price.

The bedroom felt very damp due to the humidity. There was a dehumidifier already in the room which we used and had to empty of water several times during the night. This meant even the sheets felt damp.
