It was very good in general ,kind of expected and we will go back again .

We are Cairns locals but our daughter was visiting from Brisbane for her birthday so we booked an Island twin suite room to share. The room was spacious and spotless. The bathroom is very large with full size bath, separate shower and the toilet was separated from the bathroom with a door. Unusual but good. The selection of toiletries was good as it was with the mini bar. The transfer from the mainland was included as was the use of all the facilities while on the island. It was pleasant to get a lunch and be able to go to the house guest pool and have it away from the day trippers. There was also complimentary drinks and nibbles after the fish feeding, which was very generous. We ate at the restaurant (no other choice) and had a very nice meal, which although a bit pricey (main$38.50) but generous. Unfortunately my daughters veal was overcooked but there was no worries about getting a second meal. I had the rack of lamb and in previous experiences at other restaurants have usually get it undercooked (for my taste) but I was asked how I liked it. Service all around was great and I feel our package(which included breakfast) was excellent value for money. My daughter was developing a cold and not well but we have very good help from reception in supplying Panadol, Lemsip and strepsils. The only con I would have is that the bed creaked whenever you moved or got in and out. this is the reason for the downgraded rating for room comfort All in all a great experience and we will go back
