Hilton Garden Inn Omaha East/Council Bluffs

The staff was very nice.

I received a notice on my way to the hotel that there was plumbing problems in the rooms I and, others in my party, selected. Come to find out after we checked in other people were booked into the rooms we selected. I stayed in a hilton garden inn in Council Bluffs, IA a week ago. The rooms were exactly the same however the Kansas City hotel is older and seems less secure. I was able to get a key to my room with just my name and room number. I had gotten my room number wrong twice, because it was changed, and the hotel staff didn’t ask for my ID. The bed and bedding are seriously out of date. The fitted sheets on the bed did not fit the mattress in several of my, and others in my party’s, rooms. I know mine kept coming off over my 2 night stay. Also, I have never been in a hotel with such small pillows on the bed!! They are the size of throw pillows and so uncomfortable. They went flat as soon as you laid on them. The “comforter” on was a glorified sheet and its texture was so rough. Anytime you moved on the bed the box spring would squeak so bad it sounded like it’s gonna fall apart if you didn’t sit down carefully enough and needs to be change. Using the “bulk”/“multi use lotion” was difficult as the dispenser nozzle was clogged up with dried lotion, and the hand soap was really low. I stay in a lot of Hilton Garden Inns each year for competitions, and this one is really not up to standard. Just some basic changes, and it would be on par with the rest in the chain.

We enjoyed our recent stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. The property is connected to the casino, so that made it very convenient. The hotel also has a restaurant inside, which was nice for dinner. Our room was large and quite comfortable. The wifi worked well, which is important for my job. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and are very likely to return.

Liked the place but charged me 30 dollars to check in early because I booked on Expedia. The couple that checked in at the same time was charged nothing to check in early they booked through the hotel

Clean room

Stayed 4 nights in room on second floor room has no safe, there are safe deposit boxes in the lobby. However it does have microwave and mini fridge. Small indoor pool and fitness center were okay After second day we discovered tiny bugs /beetles in the bathroom, called and reported to front desk who sent someone from maintenance to spray our bathroom. Breakfast in lobby area is very good Prices are reasonable Location is convenient but would not stay here again

Staff was very friendly

Didn't like the lack of parking and the pump dispensers in the bathroom. Much prefer the individual soaps, shampoos, etc. Did like that the casino is an indoor walk thru the hotel and doors/elevators require a hotel key to get in/use.

The property was walking distance to the convention center, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our shower leaked onto the floor, we told the staff about it but not to work on it until after we left. We pointed the shower head towards a wall so it would not spray onto the floor.
