The Briarcroft

Great hotel, rooms were good, bed was super comfy.

I would have liked a bedside table - the lamb on the shelf behind the bed didn't give off much light and having a glass of water behind my head wasn't very accessible, also no microwave in the family room.

Very nice main bed Huge room Private kitchen and bathroom. Lovely shared areas

No staff contactable before my stay . Pin changed for doors at 9.55am. (should be 10am) Bathroom was very cold as It didn't' have a radiator/ heated towel rail. Sofa bed was dirty. Milk for tea was apparently in a shared kitchen, I presume on upper level as I couldn't see one on ground level. That's not hygienic or safe in my opinion as other guests could tamper. Luckily I had taken some instant hot choc with me.

The property was immaculately presented and well equipped for our stay (2 adults 3 children).

No negative comments.

The location, spotlessly clean

It was an amazing building and the refurbished rooms look amazing. There were so many facilities available; a laundry room, kitchen, communal living room, guest WC etc. The bed, pillows and duvet were all exceptional quality. Luxurious and so comfortable.

I only thing I was really disappointed in was that the heating in at least the bathroom in my ensuite wasn’t on all night. We’d been out and couldn’t shower when we got back as it was too cold, and the same in the morning. As a cancer patient who is full of the cold at the moment, and the weather being rainy and cold, I needed heat. Hopefully they will sort this out when they refurb the rest of the building.

Beautifully clean, warm, comfortable, spacious.

The keypad to get in the room was too dark and we locked ourselves out. But that was genuinely the only complaint.
